Good evening SR friends. As Lynne reported, both our Eagles are perched on the eastern perch of the nest tree. They look so cute side by side with their heads tucked. They sure are bonding closer all the time.

I too sense that love is in the air and spring is around the corner.

🦅🦅 + maybe a little🦅 come March/April :w00t:

Good morning, everyone, and :bye 1: nightowl

Both eagles sleeping on the perch beside the nest, which is showing a dusting of snow - and snow is continuing to fall.

Looking back quickly on the dvr, I think both adults have been on the night perch since Ken restarted the streams around 9 pm, changing position occasionally, but mostly sleeping as in the s'cap above.

Added - 5:30 am
The adult nearer the nest is doing a bit of preening; the other one is still sleeping.

Have a good day, everyone!

7:01 am more vocals. Can hear a throaty call and thinking that is SF but not sure. Know I have heard it before but can't remember which one for sure. Snow is gently falling.

Good morning, Judy.

I just zoomed in on our handsome male. He's awake and looking around. Maybe shocked at the snow as I was this morning.

7:40 am both SF and SM are now in the nest after spending the night on the right perch. They are digging around in the snow.

7:44 am I have noticed sometimes can see that SM has two white faded feathers on his chest. Sometimes I see them and sometimes not. And off SM flies and as usual being the first to fly after a nest check. SF follows.

I'll share my favorite from this morning. As much as we did not want to see any snow around here, it sure is pretty when Eagles are in the picture.

Have a great day people and Eagles

Welcome Joan, we're glad you're here! SM and SF have been the resident pair of this nest since January 2022, and we've had the pleasure of watching them mature and bond. They are very active on the nest and you should see them at least 1x daily. The pair is certainly acting like they are preparing to put at least 1 egg in that nest come spring and we are very excited about that.

4:14pm........Checked the rollback......no eagles have been in the nest since the last post.

IN on both cams.

Was checking out this nest in the distance when a bird with large wings flew past. Might have been an eagle.

4:30pm......No sign of SM or SF............OFF cams.
