Good morning SR friends. It looks like we had a visit to the nest this morning. I'll go watch and report back.

0459 - Eagle lands in the nest - they pick up a stick and put it down

0501 - They are digging in the nest bowl

0505 - Standing and looking for a bit before back to digging

0509 - The Eagle flew southwest

Good evening, everyone! Off to check the dvr....

I looked back to the visit CC reported on from this morning, and didn't see another visit until 4:37 pm, when NF arrived with a large stick.

She found a good place for it and flew off at 4:40 pm.

She (I think) was back at 5:11 pm with some fluff for the nest.

She flew off at 5:13 pm.

It's now 5:57 pm, and I haven't seen any additional visits, though they often come later in the evening as it begins to get dark.

Have a good evening, everyone!

0456 - Good morning SR friends. I rolled the DVR back to Judy's last update but it looks like our Eagles were busy elsewhere and did not return to the nest last night.

Thanks, gemini (and I wasn't awake earlier - thanks, CC as well)!

6:18 pm
I checked back on the North cam dvr and didn't see any visits to the nest.

While I was busy with something else, I heard calling around 4:25 pm and found someone perched near the buildings. Not sure, but it could be NM.

Sorry I couldn't stay to see what happened next - I should be around more tomorrow.

Have a good evening, everyone!

from the rollback

2113 - The NF arrived at the nest with prey

2114 - The NM landed on the east perch and then over to the nest to check out what she had. The NF let him know quickly that the food was hers and to back off.

2116 - The NM flew south

The NM flew around and landed on Res's old perch where he watched her and kept watch over her while she ate.

2120 - the NF continues to eat her food

2134 - The NM has been patient long enough and jumps over, causing the NF to let out a squeak - she cleans her beak.

2136 - It doesn't look like he got anything. The NF cleaned her plate

2141 - NF leaves and it looked like the NM did find some leftovers.

I'm glad because I was feeling a bit sorry for him, so nice to see he had a snack before bedtime.

2145 - He cleaned his beak before flying off
