Good morning, everyone, and thanks for posting the weather, Bev! I still don't think in metric so had to check - 200 mm is almost 8 inches - that's a lot of rain!

The North cam is frozen at 7:30 am - I've let Ken know.

I'm seeing birds flying around in the distance on the south cam, some possibly eagles - maybe trying to get their "shopping" done before the rain comes.

Stay safe, everyone!

(Off topic - sunny here, but the temperature is -14C/6F with wind chill down to -26C/-14F - I think Charlie and I will get our hourly walks in big circles around the kitchen table!)

0814 - An Eagle is calling :D

I took a quick look around but did not see them.

Hi everyone!

Checking the dvr, it looks as if both eagles came together to the upper perch at 8:36 am. The dvr was very choppy (checked on our page and on YouTube) - likely an internet issue or something to do with the weather - but happily it froze briefly at this spot, with one of the adults landing on the upper perch on the right of the screen, with the other on their way in; this is cropped from full screen.

I saw one fly off (again in stop action) at 8:45 am, and the perch looked empty afterwards, so I think the other one left earlier - very hard to tell if there are one or two there unless we zoom in.

I did not see any other activity, but might easily have missed a visit to the upper branches. It's now about 2:30 pm.

Thanks, Lynne!

I'm going to log into the cams for a closer look.

Added - no clue which one this is, and not where I'd choose to spend a rainy night, but it seems to be working for them.

Almost impossible to see on the North cam.

Hi all. Is it just me or does this Eagle have some discoloration on its face?

I was noticing something, CC, but couldn't zoom in while it's this dark to get a better look. Could just be rain and shadows - and perhaps we'll see in the morning.

A couple more s'caps, then I'm going to pull the cam back and log out - please feel free to zoom back in - but it's getting late in Maine.

1913 - Our Eagle is still hanging out and holding on during this nasty weather. I think this is the New Female but only because I don't think I've ever seen the New Male perch there. This Eagle is very watchful about what goes on down below.

1940 - This tenacious Eagle continues to keep watch, probably at the human activity below. How cool would it be to be regarded by this Majestic beauty?

2105 - Not much has changed. Our Eagle is still very watchful.

I'm heading to bed so I'll move the camera back to the home position.
