Maybe a twin brother? ;)

I noticed a visit by two adults at 9:14 am - and just saw two adults fly into the distant perch.

I need to step away for 15 minutes then make a phone call - after that I'll try to figure out who is who.

Sorry - I'm slow getting back - it's been one of those days.

Off to check the dvr....

An adult landed on the nest at 8:17, stood around briefly, then flew up to the little perch - no clear view of the head on the North cam, but the tail does not look like Sur's to me.

Checking the South cam, he went up to the little perch - so this was the start of the visit I reported briefly above - viewtopic.php?f=114&t=584&p=516897#p516828

Thanks for covering the 9:14 visit, gemini!

9:14 am Res arrived at the nest followed by her "stalker" shortly after. She was none too pleased and tried to push him off the nest - but the intruder was not having it. So after a bit of complaining vocally and another try at pushing him off without success again, she left.

:vid: Res not happy with the intruder - tries to push him off the nest!

Res left at 9:16 am and the intruder hung around until 9:24 am.

There was another brief visit at 11:34 by the intruder. He moved a stick and then did some S&L- he appears to be quite competent at this feat. He left at 11:43 am.

Continuing from the dvr....

As mentioned above (viewtopic.php?f=114&t=584&start=810#p516866), two adults flew into the distant perch tree at about 10:53 am).

Image

I zoomed in on them, but even at full screen, I was not able to tell which was which. The lower one flew off at 11:34:49 and the one on the upper branch left at 11:43:44. They both appeared to fly down and to the left, though they may have circled around and headed off in a totally different direction - I think they normally take off into the wind.

JudyB, it looks like your first eagle (the intruder) flew to the nest at 11:34 (see my post above!) and followed Res when she flew off the tree at 11:43!

Thanks, gemini - still trying to get this sorted out. That definitely looks relevant!! :thumlft:

Two eagles flew together to the distant perch around noon and were sitting together for a while.

Now to find out when they left.

Continuing from the dvr....

The one on the right (I think) flew off at 12:12:52, after maybe calling briefly. A few seconds later (12:13:07 pm), he or she landed on a branch overlooking the nest (on the right in this image cropped from full screen).
20211123_011.jpg

At 12:22 pm, he or she flew off the branch, across the screen, and disappeared off to the left; I know you can't really see it - but his/her white tail is in the red circle. :) And the other adult is still on the distant perch, even though a branch is partly blocking our view.
20211123_012.jpg

The other adult flew off at 12:23 pm, heading down and I think to the left, though it was hard to see; the s'cap is not much better but shows the adult with wings spread just before flying off.

Thanks for stopping by, Bev! I think we're now caught up on the visits from earlier today, though I might have missed a quick visit.

It's 2:47 pm, the nest is empty, and I'm not seeing anyone perched anywhere, though I might have missed someone in a place I don't usually look.

Glad you're here, CC!

3:06 pm
I saw an eagle flying towards the upper branches of the nest tree about then, but no one was there when you looked, so either they kept going, or he/she is perched much higher than we can see with the cams.

Someone just landed on the distant perch.
20211123_015.jpg

I'm going to log in quickly to try zooming in.

I was able to get a couple of fairly good images off the cam directly, but it's too far for me to be sure of an ID (though I'm afraid I think it's the intruder). These click much bigger.

Almost time for dinner - I'll put the cam back to the wide view in a minute or two.

4:22 pm
I've logged out of the cam and am away from the computer.

1702 - This Eagle is over near the townhouses. I don't think it's Res because no cowlick and she perches in the same spot, closer to us

Good evening friends. Looks like lots of activity today. I hate to say it but it looks like our Intruder male is resting where Sur perches next to Res. Res is not around and was not happy with this Eagle earlier today. I've moved the cams closer to the Nest, for now, to try and catch whoever visits. Feel free to move it (;
