Still very windy.
I checked the dvr for the north cam back to Bev's post and didn't see any visits to the nest.
I also did a spot check of the south cam dvr and, not surprisingly, did not see anyone on the distant perch.
I forgot to mention that I took a quick peek at the night perch area CC found around 7:10 am, and did not see anyone there either.

I just checked the dvr and didn't see any eagles - glad to know they're not out flying around in this.
Have a good night, everyone, and stay safe.

Thanks for posting the weather, Bev!
I'm going to take a quick check of the night perches with the South cam.
I didn't see anyone in the branches near the buildings or in the upper branches of the nest tree (though I can't see the very top).
I'm back out of the cam. Nice to see things a bit calmer this morning!

Just did a quick check of the dvr, and Sur and Res both visited the nest this morning.
This may be Res arriving with a stick at 9:14 pm; not seeing the feather on the head, but it looks like her eyes.
She flew off around 9:20 and was back with another stick at 9:22 am.
Checking the nest at 9:26 am.

Continuing....
Sur (on left) in with a stick at 9:27, and Res up immediately to help him place it.
Sur is on the right here - see how the tail feather on the far right is slightly shorter? It's not always obvious, but is one of the cues I use for telling them apart.
Res left shortly after that, while Sur stayed for some S&L (standing and looking); not seeing his tail here, but you can see his eye.
He flew off at 9:33 am.
It's now 10:38 am, and the nest is empty.
I'm happy to see them both - I know they are very good at staying safe in bad weather, but I do worry when it's as windy as it has been lately.

Sur and Res have been here about 10 minutes so far working on the nest.
I'm in the middle of something else - just wanted to let folks know they are busy today.

5:20 pm
I looked back, and one of them was still there around 12:18 pm.
Continuing from the dvr, Res arrived shortly before 1:38 pm.
Sur was in shortly afterwards.
I'm not going to try to document the comings and goings, but one or both were there on and off until slightly after 2:35 pm; this is Sur.
It's now 5:26 pm, and I didn't see any activity after he left a minute or two after the previous s'cap.
And an extra s'cap - it's so lovely to see blue sky here!

5:46 pm
Res is back yet again with another stick - I suspect there may be lots of sticks lying around after all that wind - but also have a feeling that she and Sur like getting their own, fresh from a tree.
She is lovely.
And she left a moment later.

Re: Surrey Reserve 2021-2022 Observation and Discussion
After Res left at 5: 48 pm, she returned with another stick, placed it. and left again at 5:53 pm.
5:50 pm Res returns with another stick
5:50 pm Placing her stick
5:53 pm Off she goes again - this time for the evening
5:54 pm and she's back yet again with another stick. Some more stick moving mixed with some S&L and nest inspecting and she's off again at 5:59 pm - this time for the night!
But then who should drop in 20 minutes later for one last look around - Sur (stray white feather that he is sporting on his back today and short tail feather on right side) - coming to inspect the days work! He of course does what he does best -stands and looks all around. At 6:24 pm, satisfied all looks okay, he also leaves for the night .
One last stick and an inspection by Sur! - (4:08)
Interesting! My scaps all disappeared - they were there last night when I posted them and i had to re-post them this morning!
