Continuing....

Thinking this is more likely mud than shading on the tail.

Continuing....

Up to the little perch to clean his beak and look around a little.

Preparing for takeoff.

He then turned around and flew off a moment or two later.

It's now 1:36 pm, and I haven't seen any other activity.

I just got a call from Ken that he needs to reboot his computer to install updates, so the embedded cams for Delta 2, Surrey Reserve and White Rock will be offline for a little while. Harrison Mills isn't affected because I'm sending the stream for that, and all of the zoomer links will continue to work while the embedded cams are down.

He asked me to let folks know - so here's the notice. :)

1411 - I can hear a lot of crow scolding nearby and one of our eagles is complaining haha. I cannot see it but it's happening nearby.

Good morning, everyone, and :ty: nightowl!

Someone flew into the nest at 4:58 am.

Looking at the tail, I'm thinking NF, but hard to tell in grayscale.

By 5:03 am, it's starting to get light quickly.

Out to the east perch at 5:05 am.

Quick check of the dvr shows they were both on the nest from around 8:20 pm last night until some time after 9 pm, then out to the east perch for a while. I didn't see anyone there when I was up in the middle of the night to restart the stream for Harrison Mills.

Breakfast calls - busy couple of days coming up, so I won't be online much until Monday afternoon.

Back to the present, 5:18 am, the one on the east perch came back to the nest, and the other one is on a branch mostly hidden by leaves in the upper right.

Out of sequence

From the dvr last night - they did some work on the nest, and it sort of looked as if they kept coming back to do "just one more little thing"!

I won't be around much the rest of the day - please post if you see any activity. Thanks!

Thanks for reporting on that visit last night Judy! I saw it this morning but I had to leave earlier than usual for work :/

I'm listening to the streams while I work in my office today.. I have not heard any activity since my last update but I'll do a quick visual check of the DVR now.

ADDED: No activity since the last update.

1817 - No activity on or around the nest as far as I could tell. The sun is out somewhat but the weather is mostly very bad in the lower mainland and Fraser Valley. The rain has been steady and very heavy at times and the waters are rising and flooding is again imminent. It's expected to rain heavily this week and then warm up drastically by the weekend (20+ in Chilliwack and Harrison) which means extra run-off from the mountains will add additional water to this situation, so that's not great.

The odd and unusual weather in BC continues.
