So - I really can't tell if there's an eagle perched there. I think so, but I can't see anything that proves it to me beyond a reasonable doubt. I'm hoping for a nice shake of the feathers soon. (This clicks a whole lot bigger.)
6:25 pm
The eagle just flew off (with a bit of calling), proving that it was there.
I've moved the cams closer in case there is activity on the nest as it gets later - but it's already late in Maine, so I'll say goodnight now.
Have a good evening, people and eagles.

Quick check of the dvr....
Someone arrived at 7:28 - maybe NF?
Did a bit of digging and a lot of looking around, then flew off at 7:31 pm.
Graceful fly-by the front of the tree on the South cam, then circling around and in from the back with a stick at 7:35 am. I think this is NM.

Continuing....
Both there briefly at 7:42 pm.
NM flew off at 7:43 pm; NF did a bit more digging and work on the nest.
She left at 7:55 pm.
Fun to watch and lovely fly-ins, if anyone happens to stop by - the dvr usually goes back 12 hours, unless we need to reboot something.
It's now 12:23 am, and I didn't see any additional visits.

Good morning, everyone, and nightowl!
(Not directly related to our eagles, but I found the article about sugar in seagrass meadows interesting - link is https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/ne ... ss-meadows)
Checking the dvr back to my middle-of-the-night post, I think this is NF arriving at 4:19 am
With NM showing up a minute later.

They worked together for a while, then one went up to the little perch at 4:24 am; I'm thinking it's NM on the perch.
NF did some more digging, then NM came back down to the nest, decided he wasn't needed, and went back up to the little perch. NF decided to check out the nest bowl area at 4:40 am, while NM did some preening on the little perch.

NF got up at 4:48 am, and started doing some digging in the nest, while NM did a bit of napping on the little perch. I'm finding it amazing how fast it's getting light here.
NM flew off from the little perch at 4:57 am.
NF flew off about a minute later.
One of them was back on the nest with a leafy stick at 5:03 am - not sure, but this might be NM - looked more like his eyes and not seeing much shading on the tail (neither of which are very obvious in the picture because I wanted to feature the stick!).
Still not sure about the ID - but whichever one it was, they flew off at 5:09 am.
It's now 8:14 am, and I didn't see any additional visits. I'll pull the South cam back so we can see more of the upper branches - please feel free to move it.

Very quick check of the dvr....
Someone stopped by briefly around 3:20 pm; I was going to say the eyebrows reminded me of NF, but the eyes could be NM.
Tail is also a bit ambiguous, though still leaning towards NF.
Whoever it was, they were only there about 2 minutes.

Someone arrived calling, with food, at 4:54 - definitely thinking NM this time.
The food item looks like some sort of very dead rodent - hoping there's not rat poison involved.
He did wait a while before starting to work on the food item around 4:56 pm.
He finished around 5:07 pm, moved a stick with leaves to a different place on the nest, and went up to the little perch.
He flew off at 5:09 pm.
I didn't see any additional visits.
It's now 7:21 pm and time for me to say goodnight, people and eagles.

There's a whole lot of calling going on - and I'm sure it won't be visible in the s'cap, but I'm pretty sure there's a juvenile (little or no white on head) in the hidden perch area.
The juvie flew off to the right at 8:50 pm. All is quiet and I'm heading back to bed.

Good morning SR friends. I didn't see any evening visits past Judy's last update. We had a visitor this morning tho, quite early. I'll watch and report back.
0422 - Eagle lands in the nest and gets to work digging in the nest. The birds are singing sweetly
