Good morning, everyone! Thanks for the reports from yesterday - it was a busy day, wasn't it?

There are not any weather alerts posted at this point, although the article suggests there will be serious wind and rain for the next few days.

7:38 am
I think this is Sur with a stick; he brought it with his feet, and is now using his beak to place it.

Res arrived soon afterwards, I think also carrying a stick.

They are both still there, looking around.

I checked the dvr and didn't see any other visits. It sounds and looks quite windy.

Have a good day, everyone!

0813 - Res lands, I couldn't tell if she brought anything with her. She moved a branch around and tried out the Nest Bowl

I did a quick rollback to see when that nice evergreen branch came in. It was Sur who brought it in this morning :rh:

Res came in shortly after with her own contribution and then pushed Sur out of the nest bowl :D

If there are no objections I'd like to bring the South Cam closer to the Nest. With all the visits, I'd love to see them up close while they do renos :)

1025 - I did a quick rollback and found Res having a nest visit, doing branch placements and even doing a nest bowl fitting.

Sur came in and took over the nest bowl and rearranged some of Res's earlier work :w00t:

Res left and Sur spent time alone too!

1034 - ah but not for too long.. Res came back and took command.

1034 - both Eagles were quite testy, with some tug of war over a stick. Res moved around that Nest like a bull knocking poor Sur around.

At least one Eagle was in the Nest until 1100! quite a long visit!

Both adults are on the nest!
20211021_022.jpg

And the one who was standing (Sur?) just flew off.

I'm afraid it's been a long day and I need to say good night.

Have a good evening, everyone!
:offtobed:

PS - Res got up at 6:02 pm and is moving around the nest and looking out. And off she goes at 6:03 pm. And I'm gone too.

Super frustrating, I have had connection problems for hours after a new network installation *eyeroll* and posting has been a nightmare. Lots of activity in the nest before Night Perch time.

The instinct is very strong for Res and Sur and it has created some aggressive competition., pecking, pushing, refusing to move, etc. When Sur gets his way and claims the nest bowl, Res clunks around him with large branches, ultimately making him move. It's been back and forth truly.

1750- a vocal reaction from being bullied by the Eagle in the Nest bowl. The defending Eagle let out a short high pitched "yip" type noise
