This is our New Male. He couldn't find a good spot in the Nest tree due to the wind and heavy rain. He's perching alone near the buildings now. A helicopter went by overhead and he looked up at it with interest.

Looks like a quiet, nasty rainy night at the nest. I too am so sad that Sur seems to be out of the picture and a new eagle is trying to replace him. As much as I dislike this, it is the eagle way sometimes. I’ve come to the realization that apparently eagles don’t mate for life for one reason or another. I wish this nest nothing but success and if it’s with Res and the new guy, so be it. Thank you Judy, CC, Bev, gemini and everyone for the s’caps and updates here.

Good morning, everyone! Thanks for stopping by, Marianne, and I agree.
6:35 am
I'm not seeing anyone on the South cam where it's located now, so am logging in for a quick look around.
Not seeing anyone in the upper branches (though there are a lot of branches higher up that we can't see with the cams).
And not seeing anyone in or near the nest or on the distant perch (where we don't usually see anyone perch at night).
I am out of the South cam.

0654 - Good morning SR friends! Hi Judy! Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one.
Our new male flew off at 0105 this morning while it was heavily raining. I have a feeling he may have found Res because I heard calling after.

Looking at the North cam now - I can't see an eagle, but it's very dark. Looking back on the dvr....
The adult flew off and down (or what looked like down from this perspective) at 1:06 am. I heard a couple of calls a minute later, I think by just one eagle.
I looked through the dvr after that, and didn't see anyone come back to the branch (and don't blame them - I'd think an evergreen with some shelter would be much more attractive!).
I also looked quickly at the earlier part of the night, and saw only the one eagle there.
6:55 am
It's beginning to get light - I'll leave the North cam looking at the perch a little longer, and will try to keep an eye on the nest so I can log in if anyone arrives.
Other zoomers - please feel free to move the cams. I am not in either of them now.
And I am hearing one eagle calling at 6:56 am.
