1929 - I think this night be the NF on the left and the NM on the right but I cannot be sure.

S/he moved out to the east perch possibly and the NM flew southeast and down

the nest looks great!

2056 - While I was reporting on the earlier visit one of our Eagles was back in the nest working very hard. I'm so sorry but I really have to get to bed. I've moved the cams close so we can see what happened later.

What a joy watching our Eagles work on the nest with such vigor.

Look at the nest :w00t:

Good night Eagles and friends :bye 1:

Good morning SR friends. It looks like our Eagles stayed the night perched high in the nest tree

0519 - They were awake, looking around, doing some preening

0520 - the NM flew and the NF watched him for a bit

0521 - the NF flew

they have not come to the nest yet this morning

1926 - Well look who dropped in.

WOW, I think I got the ID on our first Eagle wrong. The Eagle that has been working very hard in the nest tonight was our handsome NM. :rh: :rh: Let me know what you think.

His big beautiful mate the NF dropped in and got right to work digging in that bowl. The NM was pushed aside, so things got a little testy. You cannot blame him!
I think you're right, CC - it may have taken a while to get him motivated, but he sure is going now!

Checking the dvr....

A screenshot of the adult who was working on the nest at 20:56. I'm leaning towards NF, but it could be either of them. I'm noticing what is probably a bit of dirt on the top of the head - won't last long, but might be something to check for a day or two.

Cropped from full screen - could be either NM's dark circle around the eye or NF's craggy eyebrow. It was definitely an adult eagle! :)

Sorry - something came up - I'll try to get back to the dvr before too long.

Continuing with the dvr, I missed the window for grabbing a few more pictures to go with CC's post from last night.

It's now 11:20 am, and I checked back to when the eagles flew off this morning, and didn't see any activity.

1759 - I hear crows scolding and an Eagle complaining lol. I can almost see the dive-bombing now :D

Logging in quickly to see what's happening up there.

Adding - there's at least one adult there, but I don't think that's what's bothering the crows; the eagle seems to be just standing and looking around.

I'm back out of the cam - have a good evening, CC and all!

1834 - I'm logging in to the cams

1839 - The crows are quiet now

1855 - I'm out of the cams now. The beautiful tree leaves are quite prominent and impede visibility, but I left the south cam in a position that might allow us to observe our Eagles bringing in materials to the nest. The NM brought in some impressively sized sticks yesterday and I'd like to catch him (or her!) working :rh:

2032 - This beautiful Eagle, the NM is keeping watch over the Surrey Reserve Territory from the east perch of the nest tree. He's dozing at times with the peaceful sound of songbirds singing in the background and nothing else. Beautiful as I said.

Good morning SR friends. Thank you Nightowl for starting our day. As you can see the storm is hitting the Surrey Reserve right now. I see a lot of new vegetation in the nest. I'm going to report on last night's visit by the NM and then I have to leave so won't have time to report on this morning's nest visit.
