I think someone is back on the distant perch.

I'm logging into South briefly.

Yup - that's an eagle.

It's been a long day and it's getting late in Maine, so I'll say goodnight now. Have a good evening, everyone!

There's no longer an eagle on the distant perch - but there's one on the nest! I'm guessing Sur because of the shorter tail feather, but not sure.

And now there are two - pretty sure it's Res on the right.

Another s'cap, and then I really must say goodnight.

3:21 am Following up on JudyB''s last post...

There was some S&L, poking and prodding of the nest bed, and trying out of the nest bowl until Sur left at 6:20 then Res at 6:22 pm

0648 - Good morning SR friends (;

We've still got at least one Eagle on the perch.

I'll check the DVR quick.

I will be quite busy this week until Wednesday, but will check in when I can.

ADDED: No nest activity yet today of course :bye 1:

Good morning, everyone!

Res arrived on the nest about 7:13 am.
20211018_001.jpg

I took a quick check of the night perch and I think it's empty.

Trying to do cam checks - I think this is Sur with a branch which probably means Res left.
20211018_002.jpg

Added - Res flew off at 7:18 am, shortly before the arrival of the big stick. Hard to tell them apart in grayscale (at least for me) but I'm not seeing Res's "cowlick" feather and did see a black spot on the upper tail, so pretty sure it's Sur with the big leafy branch. He flew off at 7:24 am.

Nice that we'll be seeing some sun later!

I'm out for a while.

11:30 pm Checked the DVR back to my last post and Res and Sur didn't visit the nest until 6:34 pm. They poked and prodded the nest a bit, did som S&L and left.

6:34 pm Res arrived first

6:34 pm Was startled by Sur's arrival from behind the tree and jumped back, wings spread as if to fly off if need be!

0638 - Good morning SR friends! We have one Eagle on the night perch looking like they're impatient for sunrise :D

I'll put the cams over on the nest while I get ready to leave. I'll move them before I go.

Good morning, everyone!

I checked the dvr, and it looks as if they cam to the nest after it began to get light - I think you were right about their impatience, CC!

Res arrived first at 7:05 am and did a bit of digging on the nest.
20211019_002.jpg

Sur joined her a minute or two later.
20211019_003.jpg

They did a bit of working on the nest, and some looking around. Res flew off at 7:09 am. Sur stayed a minute or so longer, looking around, then flew off at 7:11 am.

It's now 7:45 am, and I didn't see any additional activity.

I just checked the North dvr and didn't find any additional visits.

I did just notice a bump on the "distant perch" branch, and no one was there a few minutes ago, and I was going back to look when I saw someone fly in just before 1:48 pm.

I have a few things I want to get done this evening, but will try to check back from time to time.

I think this is Res.

It's getting late and I have a couple of other things I need to do - I'll try to get back and check the dvr, but that may not happen. Nice to see her here in daylight.

Added -
Here's Sur with a stick.
