1156 - I did a quick check on the DVR and did not see any visits, The weather is terrible!
I'm heading out to Harrison this afternoon as I hear the Eagles have started arriving and I am blessed to live only 20 mins away.
Stay dry Res and Sur! I'll try to be back before sundown to check on them. bye for now (:

Give our regards to Dad and Lady at the Harrison Mills nest (who are also staying tucked away somewhere and not visiting their nest today.)CC398 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 11:58 am1156 - I did a quick check on the DVR and did not see any visits, The weather is terrible!

1824- Eagles finally! Res with (with her cowlick) landed on the Nest and started to rearrange nesting materials, stopping to try out the Nest bowl, and getting up and moving more materials around.

1828 - In comes the mate Sur who quickly checks things out, assists Res in branch placement.
1829 - Res heads off to our favorite night perch, and less than a minute later, Sur follows her to the night perch.

1840 - Sur (outside) and Res (inside) preened forever and ever until it got too dark to even see them for decent scaps oh well, I'm glad they showed up for us tonight. They need to dry off but the sun might not be making any significant appearances in the near future. It makes sense that they hide out and try and stay as dry as possible this time of year,

Neat scap taken at the time Res was flying off for the night with Sur looking on behind her.
Good night all!

Good morning, everyone, and nightowl!
11C = 52F; 15mm = 0.6 inches
Love the picture of Sur watching Res fly out!
From the dvr -
Res arrived at the nest at 7:13 am (I'm amazed how dark it is at 7 am - wow!).
She poked around a bit, looked around briefly, then flew off at 7:16 am; I didn't hear any calling.
It's now 7:50 am and I did not see any additional visits; I also did a quick check of the distant perch after it began to get light and, not surprisingly, didn't see anyone there.

0831/0832 - One Eagle arrived after the other - standing, watching, poking. Sur left and returned and started placing materials.
