DVR rollback from last night.

The sound of gulls could be heard before our SF arrived on her higher nighttime perch. She vocalized when she landed.

It looks like she stayed there the night.

0517 - The SF left her night perch and flew over to the nest. It was a quick and odd visit. She came in from the north, walked over to the east, and out on a perch I think until 0519 when she came back on the nest and walked the southern edge over to the west perch. I think they flew from a western perch at 0525, based on the sound only.

1722 - Hello SR friends - It's so darn hot out. I see that Surrey has a nice strong breeze so I hope our SF is finding a way to stay cool. I did a very quick look through both DVR's and did not see any visits.

Stay cool people, SF and you too SM :rh:

I'll check back later

2031 - The SF was just in the nest. I zoomed in with the South Cam but she took off quickly. I'll leave it there for now and watch for a bit in case she returns.

I'll post a scap soon.

ADDED: She arrived at 2029, stared down into the nest, and then quickly flew southwest less than a minute later. Hi, bye SF!

2130 - No sign of the SF since her very quick visit earlier. We would normally see her there on her night perch now, so perhaps she's found another spot to rest tonight.

I'm going to head off for the night. Goodnight people and Eagles.

0507 - An Eagle hopped over from the western side - If this is our SF, I wonder if she slept there? I checked the south cam and did not see her there last night or early this morning.

This visit was 7 mins long and involved mostly staring down into the nest. Again, thinking bugs, or perhaps she knows that resident squirrel is down there. The way she scales the edges hops around and all that staring down. She did pick up materials and put them back down and gently pushed a stick.

0514 - She moved back over to the western perch.

0522 - A tiny bird was in the nest. :D

I need to head off to work. I'll check in when I can but most likely won't be around until later this evening. Please feel free to comment with a time-stamp if you see or hear an Eagle. Bye for now!

Hey gemini! Yeah, I guess that needs to be done, as much as I miss the SM and will no doubt be missing the SF, it's gotta be done for next season when they return and put eggs in that nest :rh:

I don't see anyone on the night perch yet but she did not rest there last night. I might put the South Cam on the nest tonight if she doesn't show by 2200 hours. She had been spending quite a bit of time perched on that nighttime spot but we have definitely been seeing less of the SF the last two days. Maybe she was resting that wing for a long journey north where the chum are running.

I checked the DVR back to gemini's post but did not catch any visits on either cam.

2206 - No Eagles seen or heard tonight. It was a very quiet night in SR - no gulls or crows heard tonight either.

I'm off for the night :bye 1:

1819 - Good evening Surrey Reserve friends. We have an empty nest and an empty nighttime perch. I checked back on the DVR streams and did not see any Eagles visiting. :(

I'll check back later.
