Great to see you here, Linuxgw2!

3:52 pm
Res flew off, and I think Sur arrived a minute or so later. He checked the food bit didn't try feeding the chick.

Chick and egg.

I could not see any pip on the egg, but again, didn't see it turned - the adults tend to be blocking the view as they tuck the chick and egg in.

Dinner time here - but I may sneak the ipad to the table to keep an eye on the nest.

This does indeed look like Sur to me, Bev - and I took a quick look at his right eye.

Sur got up at 5:38 pm - and the little one was up and peeping.

It's already hard to believe that chick fit in that shell just a few hours ago!

I tried to get a quick look at the egg, and didn't see any pips.

I didn't get a picture, but Res arrived at some point during all this, and had a quick snack from the meal at the edge of the nest. While that was happening, SR5 rolled over, and showed that h/h tummy had gotten a little messy from all the rolling around in the nest.

She tucked chick and egg in a moment later.

6:05 pm
Res is sitting peacefully on the nest, brooding the chick and incubating the egg.

I'm going to pull the North cam back slightly - and then I'm out for the night. Have a good evening, everyone!

Precious little being, may you be safe and well-fed. :rh:

12:58 AM I continue to see the same spot posted by CC398 and as much as I would like to say it is a pip, I'm inclined to think it is a piece of debris dropped on the egg during a 6:30 pm. It seems to be the same size and shape.

6:14:56 pm Dinner time!

6:14:58 pm Two seconds later Debris falls on egg.

1:03 am My last clear view of the egg - hmmm - has the shape changed?????

2;50 AM Sur calls out in the middle of the night and Mom wakes and joins in. I couldn't see anything amiss so maybe it was a false alarm?

:vid: Dad calls warning! (:55)
