0831 - Good morning Surrey Reserve friends! I think I saw a little mantle from SR5! It was around the 0831 mark. I only caught a shot from behind as it happened quick but both SR5 and S56 were playing with a feather or bone. you might see it on the rollback.
Thanks, CC398!

And you got a picture of SR6 standing up on his/her "adult feet" - balancing on the toes, the way adults walk. It was great to see the youngster manage a few steps before going back to using the full foot.

I'm hearing an adult calling - and the eaglets are noticing.

And Res arrives with a black bird - and SR6 is up and eating!

SR5 has joined the feeding.

0912 - I've taken about a gazillion photos of this feeding. I hit the shower and came back to see little SR6 dominating the feed and even stealing bites meant for SR5! I don't think I"ve ever seen our littlest eat so well and so much. :rh:

0915 - at one point Res goes out of her way to try and feed SR5!!, but even then SR6 is stealing it lol. I'm over the moon with happiness and joy that our little continues to get his big bites and is catching up to their big sibling. SR6 eats and eats and eats and eats :rh: :grhug:

Great pictures and descriptions, CC398 - thank you! SR5 did have quite a bit earlier, so I'm happy to see that SR6 was doing so well this time.

Ken just switched the stream for Surrey South to his computers - he has a faster internet connection than what I can get here in small town Maine, so we'll see if that helps.

The eaglets are dozing after their lovely meal.

SR5 is dozing, and SR6 is looking around and preening.

I looked back to my previous post, and as far as I could see not much has happened. I did catch this cute moment (clicks bigger):

No idea what they were looking at - but they sure were looking.

12:50 pm
SR6 is picking at the carcass of the bird. I don't think he/she is particularly hungry - but it is food and s/he is an eaglet, so.... :mihihi:

I made the time/date stamp font smaller on the North cam - the cam seems to be working much better at this lower resolution, and we don't need the font as large to be able to see the time.

The parent arrives and SR6 is over to nab some bites.
SR5 moves to the feeding and SR6 moves to the side.
Cannot confirm if SR5 put SR6 into submission.
Lots of squealing and chirping going on...
SR6 grabs bites as the feeding continues.

The parent who I am assuming is Ma calls out.
SR6 seems to be fixated on a feather or bone. Not quite sure what it is.
Both SR5 and SR6 are lined up for more food.
The parent departs the nest.
Chirping continue.

Surrey Reserve

Both eaglets look quite contented. If there is such a thing as a contented eaglet.
Lots of chirping going on.
SR5 pulls at nest material.
And the chirping continues.
Can hear an eagle in the background.

Haven't seen either parent to the nest in last few hours I have been watching.

I have heard them calling out and getting Sr5 and Sr6 attention at one point for both looked up so one of the parent calling was perched above the nest.

I've seen Sr6 do couple crop drops.

Sr5 and Sr6 chilling in the nest waiting for some food for supper to arrive.

1810 - Good evening Surrey Reserve friends. I just checked the Eaglets and they are sitting, watching, looking very cute and almost comparable in size now!
