I checked the dvr back to my previous post, and didn't see any activity.
While I'm thinking of it, here's a s'cap of the nest, so we can look for changes.
Good night, everyone!

I apologize for the lack of sound! For some reason my recorder reverted to "sound off" and I didn't notice as it hasn't ever done that before and I didn't check it!!
Sept 11, 2021 10:10 am Cam maintenance day. First up, the North cam:
Alex Getting ready to climb the nest tree, David helping.
Getting ready
Alex climbing the tree and removing the old dome on the cam
The climb & getting started
Alex working hard! Inspecting the wiring, looking for fishing line and any other problems that may be there! The squirrels have been gnawing on the wire and Alex wraps it with electrician's tape to reinforce it.
On with the new dome and cleaning the camera lens
Finishing the dome replacement and checking for spots! Alex kicks off the remnants of the nestovers before descending
Finishing up and descent
And now the South cam!
Alex carefully climbs the tree
Climbing the South Cam tree
Getting into position and removing the old dome! The camera lens is gently cleaned and a general inspection of the cam set up and wiring is done.
Removing the old dome & general inspection
The new dome is put in place and the plastic covering removed. A quick tour around to make sure there are no spots and all is working as it should! And down he goes!
Finishing up and the descent
A job well done! Both cams spotless!

Good morning, everyone! nightowl!
Thanks for creating and posting the videos of the cam cleaning.
12C = 54F, 19C = 66F
It's looking a bit like fall in BC! It's cool at night here in Maine, too - and I'm enjoying that!
8:22 am
I just checked the dvr back 12 hours, and didn't see any activity. There was a tiny bird on the nest earlier this morning - it was only there for a few seconds, and I didn't get a s'cap.
Have a good day, everyone!
(Cam maintenance at Delta 2 is scheduled for 5 pm this afternoon, for those interested in watching.)

I did a quick check of the dvr for both cams, and didn't see any activity. Looked like a beautiful sunrise.
Looking back to previous years, the first eagle was seen on the nest on September 25 in 2019, and on September 26 in 2020 - so we may see them returning in another week or two!

Good morning, everyone!
15-17-8C = 59-63-46F
Special Weather Statement
Issued at 10:38 Wednesday 15 September 2021
Rain, heavy at times Thursday night and through Friday.
Location: Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Howe Sound and Sunshine Coast.
Rainfall accumulation: 30 to 50 mm.
Timespan: Thursday night to Friday night.
Remarks: A robust frontal system will approach the BC coast on Thursday. By Thursday night rain will begin over south coast regions with the heaviest rain expected through the day on Friday. Rain will ease overnight Friday as the frontal band passes through.
Consider clearing leaves and debris from drainage areas as the heavy rain could pose issues with regards to potential local flooding.
11:33 am
I checked the dvr back 12 hours and didn't see any activity (and I did a very quick check earlier that included some of the time near sunset). It does seem quite windy.

Ken has lost power so most of the cams are down.
I looked at the outages map, and it looks like a fairly small area with quite a few people, so I'm hoping that will mean that the power is restored soon.

Most Cams are Back
Ken just called to report that power has been restored at his place, and the feeds for the Delta, Surrey and White Rock cams have all be restored; you may need to refresh/reload the browser page to see them. French Creek is up because I'm sending that stream. Sadly Harrison Mills is not up - there's apparently an issue at the site, and we don't have a local contact there to check on that.
(There's a large thunderstorm near our place in Maine - we should miss the worst of it, but I could lose power and/or internet - so if French Creek goes down, that's probably why.)

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for starting our day, nightowl!
11-14-13C = 52-57-55F
Looks as if some serious rain is expected today - stay safe and dry, people and eagles!
7:53 am
I checked the dvr and did not see any activity on the nest or the far perch. There were some large birds flying by, but they didn't fly like eagles - possibly ducks or geese?
I did check the dvr at some point yesterday afternoon, but didn't see anything and forgot to post.
