Good morning Surrey Reserve friends!
0539 A nice bloody meal was delivered. The Eaglets pounced but then briefly went down in to submission when the adult started vocalizing. The adult left
0607 the adult returns checks out what's left on the nest and starts feeding their Eaglets. Tucca was very excited about that!

Adult feeding - around 0618 the adult left
The Eaglets have had a nice start to their day. I've got some errands to run this morning but will be back later to do some zooming.

Thanks for the video, gemini - I'm continually amazed at how big their wings are getting and how strong they are getting - it wasn't that long ago that they could barely lift their growing wings, and look at them go now!gemini wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 11:35 pm11:15 pm No visits since JudyB posted - they will go to bed without a snack tonight.

Good morning, everyone!
Tiku is 69 days old, and Tucca is 68 days old.
Today's weather: 12-16C = 54-61F
I think this is Tiku - look how long the wing and tail feathers are!
Thanks for getting catching the 5:39 am food delivery, CC - and I think this is Dad Sur, based on his eye and neckline, though it's not easy to be sure on a quick visit.
I heard the sound of crows approaching, and he flew off quickly, followed by his "escort" of crows.
Neither adult is spending a lot of time at the nest these days, and it seems that most of the time when I can confirm an adult's ID recently, it's been Res - so I was happy to see him.
Added - I think it was Res who came in a little later to feed them.

There was also a very quick food delivery around 5 am, a similar bloody looking thing (I'm wondering about seal placentas - and did find an article saying that seals in BC start giving birth in June, so the timing is right). I think this was Res, though I'm not sure.
I think both had some. I think Tiku is on the left/bottom and Tiku on the top.
It's now 8:20, and both eaglets are hanging out on the nest.

10:50 am
Sleeping in a row - I think Tiku is in front.
And that was sort of odd - Res (I think) just flew in (no food).
She stood there for a minute while the chicks loudly called for food - and then she flew off.
It's partly/mostly the perspective - but I think the eaglets are looking BIG!
I did check the dvr, and didn't see any other visits.

11:30 am - logging into the cams briefly
11:38 am - I am OUT
The eaglets were calling for food in a way that suggests they know one of the adults is nearby, so I looked around to see if I could spot a white head. No luck.
The adults sometimes perch in the tall tree to the far left with the nice open branch near the top - and one of last year's fledglings perched there a couple of times - but it's usually empty when I look. And eaglets can see a lot farther and clearer than our cam can zoom.

Parent drops by for a quick hello then leaves.
Of course, the local commentator, Tucca, is very vocal.

Hello everyone! I am enjoying your updates.

Trying to figure out exactly who this is based on the black along the beak (maybe?) and tail. Thoughts?
