6:11 pm
I'm still hearing calls - going in quickly on South for a look around.

6:16 pm
Didn't find him - I'm out of South and going in on North for a quick check of the area around the South cam.

6:22 pm
No luck with the North cam either.

I am out of both cams.

I'm still hearing at least one fledgling calling (and I think only one, though it's hard to be sure) - so hopefully the adults are hearing that as well and will bring something in for him soon.

Good night, everyone!

Added - 7:08 pm - still hearing calls from a fledgling. And really leaving now. :bye 1:

Good morning, everyone!

Tiku is 105 days old and has been flying for 23 days
Tucca is 104 days old and has been flying for 21 days/3 weeks

7:34 am
It's been a busy morning on the nest with at least two food deliveries for Tucca already.

From the dvr....

6:43 am
Res arrived on the nest with food, followed by a screeping fledgling.

(I can't tell who the adult is from the s'cap, but did see the feather that sticks up on the top of her head a bit later. And I don't actually know that it's Tucca on the nest but I think we haven't seen two fledglings at the same time since 5:30 am on July 14 (link), and I think the one we're seeing is Tucca.

Something weird going on with the board! I posted this last night at 2:10 am - don't know where it disappeared to and I swear your PM wasn't there when I was on last night- I just saw it now! So I'll try again!

I'm on the cams, though I can't stay long.

He flew off calling at 5:51, and I could hear him, but I'm not fast enough with the cam to try following him, and have no clue where he might be.
5:53 pm
JudyB you did find him! I zoomed in on him and started the video at the nest so you could follow the panning in case he goes to the same tree again sometime!

:vid: Tucca playing hide and seek! (:15)

It was just dumb luck that I wasn't zeroed in on the center of the screen and caught something move out of the corner of my eye and went back to see what it was!

CC398 your first scap looks like a black version of where I saw him!

I lightened your scap and it looks like an adult (white head?) sleeping with h/h head tucked I think!

Thanks so much, Sharon - I just don't have a great eye for seeing him, I think!

And thanks for posting, Joan - I'm going to miss those screeps.

Very quickly - from dvr

Adult was in at 7:22 am with another fish head (and I see two on the nest - not sure if I missed a delivery or if they turned over one that had been dark side up. I think this was Sur but didn't go back to confirm it.
20210717_002.jpg

Adult stayed for a little while working on one of the older fish heads, but I think Tucca (who arrived right after the adult) was not happy about that and the adult left fairly soon.
20210717_003.jpg

Tucca flew off at 7:58 am.

It's now 10:21 am, and the nest is empty. I did a very quick check of the dvr and didn't see any additional visits. I think the white thing in the upper left of the nest is part of a fish head - it seems to have attracted some flies.

I'll probably be away from the computer most of the day today - will try to pop back on later this evening to see what's been happening.

Have a good day, people and eagles! :)

I searched and searched but did not locate our fledglings. I caught at least one of the adults. I am off both cams.

I heard a fledgling making demands within the last 5 or 6 mins, sorry for no exact time! I was doing chores with the sound turned up but then had to start up my laptop to sign in and yada yada. I'll be back shortly to Zoom and see what if anything is up

Well I didn't find a whole lot of anything at all! Hoping wherever our fledglings are, they both have full crops. :rh:

Rollback since Judy's last post

1528 a Fledgling comes screeching in. They were happy to find fish heads I'm sure and worked on eating everything they could find for more than an hour.

At 1638 our fledging left from the front of the nest.

This Juvenile wasn't as screechy. I have a deep feeling this was Tiku. See you later Tiku!

More rollback and I did not see any other visits to the nest. :bye 1:

2038 We have another ? very hungry juvenile on the nest, and relishing every bite of fish head they devour, barely stopping to Watch at all but they looked up long enough for me to see those eyes and identify Tucca. :rh: Glad to see you back here boy.
Better pics coming hopefully when they stop eating and look up.

I still have to rollback to see if this was a food delivery

This evenings visits to the Nest by the Fledglings were both very purposeful visits. Just Eat. Neither cried to be fed and neither stuck around after the meal. They are just extremely hungry Juvenile Bald Eagles now and I suspect were possibly having a heavy training day and worked hard today. Did the adults plan this in advance by stocking the Nest with food for after todays event? I frequent a few Nests that are local to me and have been able to observe this speedy hatching to fledgling life cycle. I saw 2 fledglings soaring high above their territory with their parents today and I was able to picture what T & T were likely doing at this time. Amazing.

Tucca (the second one in) left immediately after eating. They didn't go far at all as they were vocalizing and calling out out nearby for a while.

I'm off both cams and good night
