Cont'd .....

6:48 pm Tiku having had h/h fill left the stringy stuff to Tucca.

6:55 pm Tucca picking for bits after finishing up what Tiku left.

I think Tucca got enough to keep the hunger pangs away but Tiku got the best part - if there is such a thing as a best part of a placenta! :w00t:

8:08 pm The kids have been mostly just lounging and sitting around since dinner. The weather is not terribly conducive to flapping and branching as it is quite warm and the air is dead still.

Good morning Surrey Reserve friends (;

I opened the page this morning and was greeted immediately with beautiful Wings and a nice branch. I suspect it's Tiku just because they are so active.

I don't believe there have been any visits to the nest yet today.

0541 is the time on the branching. Well done big Eaglet!

Happy Father's Day to Sur and our fathers!

I've noticed a new behavior I didn't see last year so much when one of the chicks is resting on the edge and the other comes over and beaks them. It happened yesterday and again today with a lot more interaction. Also, one chick will plop down like they are going to rest and then they pop right back up again flapping their tail once or twice. They put on a pretty good show of it between 11:40am and 11:50am. Curious what you'all observations are.

4:11 I have had the cam up at full volume for a couple of hours and no sign of parents. I sure hope food comes in soon with the heat we have here today. :luck:

I checked the rollback and no sign of parents all day. Babies have been mostly quiet in the heat with occassional calls.

Tiku was completing wing exercises earlier and at one point Tucca had to look up at Tiku.
Currently, both are calling out.
Tucca laying in the nest with her head down.
Tiku maintaining a standing stance but now and then is also calling.
Could hear one of the eagles and the crows earlier but no sign of either parent at the nest.

Thanks for the update Darlene. I've been stuck at work but watching when I can and have not seen any food deliveries either so far today. I think the Eaglets are also telling us there has been no food! It's very hot today and we are about to experience some extremely hot weather over the next 7 days.. some hydrating fish would be very helpful to keep our Eaglets nourished and hydrated for the training they need to do in order to fledge. Not that I'm in any hurry to see them go. :rh:

Dragonfly I was noticing this too! Lots of beaking going on today for sure as they are both utilizing the space in the nest to train and to watch. Hunger may have a part? Cranky Eaglets maybe? The more I watch the more I learn so I will keep watching :rh:

I've got a wee opportunity to log in to the cams. Let's see what's up and around them. :)

good evening,

Been watching all day, hoping for either parent to show up with some food, The wind is crazy and the heat for the eaglets sure are wanting some food today to nourish them.

? is it possible that fish could be provided as it has been in the past, seems the food source has been scarce these past few days with very little coming in. Sure the parents are hunting and maybe not much out there .

The eaglets are letting the parents know calling for food so hopefully Res and Sur are out there searching.

Keeping talons crossed food arrives soon for our eaglets.

1638 oh yes, our Eaglets are very hungry. There has not been any real food since last night. It's extremely warm but also extremely windy. Perhaps our adults are hunkered down to let this wind pass before trying to hunt. Both Eaglets are calling out. I suspect Tucca is pictured with their head down while Tiku is looking around.

Thanks Sandy and Linuxgw for your observations too! I think they ate quite well yesterday with nutritious and hydrating placenta at least twice which is very helpful but our growing Juveniles needs a big meal tonight for sure to calm the hangryness and give them energy. There is still lots of time for a meal drop. Talons crossed like Linuxgw said 🦅🦅🦅🦅

1851:17 FOOD! An adult lands at the back of the nest of a lovely bloody meal. They left quickly. The Eaglets are both feasting now.
