11:58 AM I missed them too when I checked last night, Bev! and I don't think there have been any visits so far this morning as far as I could see! Another rainy day and I am off last minute Xmas shopping!

5:30 pm Checked back to Bev's last post and still no visits from Res or Sur. Taking a "mental health" day maybe - as some were apt to do back in my working days - I never had the nerve!

11:10 am Res arrived at the nest at approximately 9:50 followed shortly after by Sur at 9:51.They spent time digging in the bowl, moving a bit of fluff and the usual S&L. Sur left at 9:55 and returned at 9:57 with a stick that was quite awkward in shape and they both tackled the job of placing it. They spent several minutes battling the stick until Res gave up, went back to S&L and eventually left the nest. Meanwhile Sur carried on fighting with the awkward stick trying the same thing over and over until he too had had enough and also went back to S&L for a few minutes before leaving at 10:04.

:vid: The great stick battle! (4:44)

Good afternoon, everyone - great to see everyone checking in!

2:16 pm
I looked back to Bev's post and didn't see any visits.

North cam is looking and sounding choppy so I'm going in to reboot it. I'll take a quick peek at that perch tree while I'm there.

No one on that far perch.

When I refreshed my browser after the reboot, this is the cover image I saw before clicking play - nice picture of our furry visitor.
