Good morning, everyone - and thanks, Bev! It's fun to have finally found a few of the places where the adults perch to hunt and watch their territory.

I have a feeling we may not be able to see the distant perches today - or at least for a while.
20191214_001.jpg

But I'll take a quick look. I did look back on the dvr starting an hour or so before it began to get light, and didn't see any visits.

And the view to the far perch we can see from the South cam is clearer than I expected - though the branch is empty. I'll leave the cam watching that for a while.
20191214_003.jpg

And while it's a bit foggy looking towards the perch we found with the North cam, we'd be able to see eagles there, so I'll leave the cam there for a while..

And while I was logged in on the South cam, the little black squirrel popped out for a visit. He/she was doing some grooming and a lot of scratching - it could be that they need a little flea-catcher bird family living in the basement! :mihihi:

Here are a couple of pictures.

Good morning everyone, poor little squirrel. looks so lonely there for him/her..lol. I'm still popping in from time to time. I checked the camera's but never saw any action. It's sure foggy there. clear here though. at least for now.

I did see the squirrel as I checked - watched him/her for a bit and came away scratching!

There's someone on the North cam perch - I can't tell if it's an eagle.... :chin:
20191214_008.jpg

Arrival was around 11:04 - I watched on full screen, and definitely no white head, and I'm pretty sure it's smaller than an eagle - maybe a raven or crow?

Charlie (my husband) asked about the construction sounds, and I was planning to bring the North cam back to the nest so I logged in to show him the new construction near the nest - and then there were eagles! With a big stick.
20191214_010.jpg

I'm going to reboot North - too pixelated to see.

A couple of pictures from the direct link - Res's cowlick is definitely sticking way up, though I didn't get a good screenshot of it (she's on the left in the two images below).

Another image showing Res's cowlick (she's on the right here)

And she flew off at 4:33 pm.

He stayed for a bit, then flew off at 4:40 pm.

Cams back on their overnight positions, and I'm out.

Good night, everyone. :offtobed:

Good morning, everyone!

7:28 am
I've heard a few trills but haven't seen any eagles. I did look back quickly 12 hours on the North dvr (and more slowly once it started getting light) and haven't seen any visits.

I took a quick at the perch we can see from the North cam, but it was too dark to see anything so I moved it back.

I moved the South cam so it shows the far perch over to the left (and shows some of the branches further up in the tree.

No eagles that I can see - I'll be back in a bit to check on things.

Good morning everyone. They sure do bring big sticks back don't they? I bet it would be nice watching them fly through the sky with one. I have seen crows fly with quite large sticks but not and Eagle.
