Good morning, everyone! Thanks for the weather, Bev - and sorry to hear there's another storm on the way.

11:36 am
I've had the cam up quite a bit and didn't see any visits, and just looked back to before dawn on the dvr and didn't find any.

It looks as if the rain is starting. I checked the dvr back to my last post, and didn't see any activity.

Good morning, everyone!

11:36 am
I just sat down at the computer - and an eagle arrived!

North is pixelating a bit, and it's very windy, so I don't have a good picture - but I'm pretty sure this is Sur.

The picture above shows a bit of the neckline, and this shows the dark area under his eye.

He flew off at 11:46 am.

I checked back on the dvr to before sunrise, and did not see any other visits.

I'm going to take a quick look on the North cam, then reboot it.

Except Sur just came back with a big stick.

Checked the perch visible from North and didn't see any one.

Sur seems interested in the construction, but doesn't appear to me to be concerned by it.

Someone is flying down by the water - not a clue what sort of bird, though it appears large, and appears to be enjoying the wind.

Sur is up and away at 12:06 pm; I've done a reboot of North. And someone is back at 12:07 pm.

Now there are two!

Based on the eyes, I think Res is on the left.

One off, and then the other. I'm afraid I didn't think to stay logged into the cam so I could follow them.

I think Res was back first, then Sur dropped down from above with a big stick, setting off a clang as it bumped the cam support on the way down.

Sorry, I got distracted. From the dvr - I think Sur left around 12:31, and Res left a minute or two later. Then Sur came back with another branch, and spent some time around 12:38 trying to remove part of a stick (I think he got it free), then finally left at 12:43 after more poking around than s&l.

It's now 2:31 pm and I checked the dvr and didn't see any other visits.

Checking the dvr....

4:09 pm - Sur arrives on the nest (saw the dark spots on is upper tail).

Looked around briefly

And flew off.

It's now 5:44, and I didn't see any additional visits since my previous post.

I just came back to me computer to find an eagle on the nest - and as I got ready to take a s'cap, the second one arrived!
20200104_002.jpg

I think it was Sur who was here first and Res who just arrived, but I'll need to look back to be sure.

I need to do a couple of other things, and will check the dvr for more details later. They do seem to be spreading some "fluff" which might be new.
