Will have a look back on the DVR to see what has happened so far this morning.

Looks like Res left at 7:12 am and Sur took over at 7:14 am this morning.

7:59 am :vid: Sur takes a short break (:47)

8:10 am and he takes another break! 10 minutes this time! Don't know what's going on with all these breaks this morning! Then Res returns at 8:31 am for a nest exchange.

:vid: Okay, enough breaks, you can go now!

12:02 pm And Res takes a quicky break!

12:02 pm She's back! Oops! Not Res - it's Sur!

Thanks so much for your coverage here today, gemini! Not easy to keep track of them in the best of times, and the rain isn't making it easier.

So - there was a switch at 2:22 pm. They were both on the nest, and one got up and left and the other immediately went to stand over the eggs and keep them dry while doing the usual digging. The only problem is that as I look at the video before and after the switch, it looks like Res is incubating.

Here are the s'caps I got of the switch:

The newly arrived adult is on the left in both of them - and it may be Sur, but I'm not seeing the dark area under the right eye. Then again, I couldn't see it on the one who left.

Ah well - the good news is that there are two adults taking turns, and they know who is who!

Added -
I tried watching the exchange on the South cam, and I think it's Sur on the left in the picture below, showing a bit of the dark upper tail as he gets up to leave, and a much drier Res on the right, showing a bit of cowlick. Maybe. :dunno:

Up and away - whoever was there.

The eggs are fine - it doesn't appear to be raining any more, but we still have drops of water on the cam cover.

5:33 pm
And someone is back - I'm thinking maybe Sur, but not easy to tell.

Have a good night, everyone, and please post if you're watching.

You're absolutely right Judy! That is definitely Res who is dry!

Which means it must have been an exchange at 12:02 nd also means Sur took over! I couldn't find any other exchange before the 2:22 pm one when Res arrived.

5:31 pm Another exchange - Res is leaving and I also think it is Sur that took over.
