Good afternoon, everyone - and thanks for your report and the weather, Bev!

2:32 pm
Sur just landed on the nest - he immediately adjusted a beakful of nesting material, and I'm not sure if he brought it, or had just been thinking it needed to be in a slightly different spot!

I did see the upper tail as he arrived, which is why I think Sur - and the eyes also look right.

2:36 pm
And he's gone! I think the grass is new.

Most of the grass was there - I just looked back. But he did bring some.

Back with a stick.

And here comes Res!

She may have brought a small stick - and definitely had some thoughts where some things should go!

A few more trips in and out with sticks - happy to see them working on the nest!
20191007_008.jpg

A bigger stick!
20191007_009.jpg

And I need to step away from the computer - hopefully this will remain up on the dvr so others can watch!

3:44 pm
One of them is still there - maybe Res?
20191007_010.jpg

And it could be Sur - he's a big eagle, just not as big as Res.

3:52 pm
Remaining eagle flew off - looked more like Sur, but still not sure.

And I'm out for dinner and probably the evening.

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for starting our day, nightowl!

Well, that was interesting - when I used the usual link to get the weather, I got an access denied message. When I opened the Weather Network home page and searched for weather in Surrey BC - I got access denied. But when I googled weather in Surrey BC, the usual site opened. Strange. Anyway - here's the weather.
20191008_001.jpg

I checked back on the dvr and one of the adults visited a little after 7 am - I think Sur. He moved a couple of pieces of fluff and briefly checked the nest cup area (I didn't get a s'cap of that), but mostly stood around. It looked like his neckline.
20191008_003.jpg

He stayed until just after the cam went to color around 7:21 am.
20191008_002.jpg

I didn't get a screenshot of his fly out, but it looked as if there were spots on the upper tail, another indicator of Sur.

North cam only went back to around 5 pm (and skipped a lot during the night); I didn't see a dusk visit last night, or any additional visits this morning.

Hi folks! I just took a quick look back on the dvr and found this image
20191008_004.jpg

Looking back more slowly - one of them arrived about 10:40 am - not sure which. The second one arrived at 10:58 am. I'm thinking Sur first, then Res. Very windy, but they did some work on the nest.
20191008_005.jpg

Both moving sticks around at 11:05 am. One left at 11:07 - I think Sur (based on apparent size) though I couldn't see dark tail spots. Res left at 11:12. Someone back at 11:19 with a stick - I think Sur.

And if my ID is right, he's the one who spent some time in the nest bowl, before flying off at 11:46.

This is him with his stick - unfortunately not easy to see, but it was a big one.

Dinner time here - good night, everyone!

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for the weather and the early report, Bev!

One of the adults landed on the nest at 6:57 and I think the second one landed a couple of minutes later (cam was very pixelated, and I was watching on my iPad).

Here are a couple of screenshots
20191009_002.jpg
20191009_003.jpg

One of them - I think Res - flew off at 7:05; the other one stayed, looking around, until 7:15, then flew off.

Here's one of Sur(?) in color, shortly before he left.
20191009_005.jpg

And this is annoying - I was going to get a screenshot from the South cam - and it skipped the visit on the dvr. It's funny - the picture before you click play is recent - and nice and clear.
20191009_001.jpg

But even on HD, the streaming image doesn't look as good.
20191009_006.jpg

Though perhaps it's also pixelating - :chin: I just rebooted North - maybe I'll see if a reboot will help South.

Hmm - I checked South dvr before logging in and didn't find any recorded visits (I'd also checked North and didn't see anything) - but did find these amazing colors at 6:30 pm yesterday.
20191009_007.jpg

Well, maybe it's my connection. Here's the new pre-play screenshot, from 3 minutes ago.
20191009_008.jpg

And this is the live cam - and the trees on the left look blurry, even on high def.
20191009_009.jpg

Ah well - both cams are rebooted and streaming smoothly, in case we get another visit.
