The one I think is Sur (because males don't eat on the nest if the female is there) took off. Not sure, but this is close enough that I think it's him, sharing a tree with two smaller birds.

It was a quick meal, and Res left at 11:02 am.

Res did not come join the eagle I think is Sur, and he flew off a few minutes later. I continued panning around - and found someone on what I think is one of the perches we see best from the South cam:
20200207_015.jpg

I'm going to log into the South cam for a closer look.

It's the tree at the far left in this wide view:
20200207_016.jpg

And here's a closer look:
20200207_017.jpg

I can zoom in further - the cam is only at 12.6X and can go to 30X - but the cam is likely to get a bit blurred, and I don't think I could get close enough to know for sure who this is.

This is as good as it gets:
20200207_018.jpg

She (maybe, looking at neckline) is moving further out on the branch. I wonder if she's looking for company. :rh:
20200207_019.jpg

I brought the North cam back to the nest and am still logged into the South cam watching the adult on one of the distant trees. I did try checking some other perches with the North cam, but didn't see anything. It is quite foggy out there, which doesn't help.

11:25 am
No change. I looked around a bit more with the North cam, and didn't see anyone - I'll probably reboot North when I get done; I'm still logged in on both cams and hoping to follow Res(?) when she leaves her perch - I've pulled South back some so I have a better chance of seeing where she's going when she flies off.
20200207_020.jpg

If she flies off - eagles can and do demonstrate the S&L (standing and looking) behavior for even longer from perches than they do on the nest.

12 noon

Still no change; I've logged off the South cam, leaving it watching the eagle in the tree, and am rebooting the North cam. I'll be doing some tasks at the computer and will bring the South cam back to the nest when Res decides to leave (which will probably happen as soon as I get immersed in updating my checkbook! :mihihi:

12:12 pm
Second adult arrives in the tree; both do some calling.

12:20 pm
Both flew off to the left, one after the other. I logged back into South.

There appeared to be someone in this tree:
20200207_023.jpg

But looking more closely, it doesn't appear to be an eagle - maybe crow or raven?
20200207_024.jpg

I tried looking closer, but there's a blurry spot on the cam cover so everything was very fuzzy.

And it flew off at 5:24 pm.

I looked around some, and did not see any eagles - which does not surprise me in the least, given how many trees there are!

After looking around a bit more, I put the cam back on the nest and logged out.

Just did a quick check of the dvr back to my previous post, and didn't see any eagles.

Found an adult on the nest!
20200207_027.jpg

Looking back quickly - both were there at 5:43 pm.
20200207_028.jpg

I think Sur, on the left in the second picture, probably brought food to Res, who is eating now.

Rebooted North yet again, and off to bed - goodnight, everyone. :offtobed:

Good morning, everyone!

8:50 am
Someone just arrived - and both cams are pixelated!
20200208_001.jpg

Logging in to both cams to document the visit.

I think this is Sur, and he's busy eating leftovers.

This looks to me like his eye and neckline.

And he flew off at 8:57 am. Not trying to follow - almost lunch here, and the direct cams are sticking. I'll do a reboot, and hope things improve.

That's my guess, Bev - drops of water on the cam cover.

Both eagles just arrived. South still pixelated, North looks OK. Our cat Chelsea Girl is demanding lunch. Back in a while.

Added - both left around 9:09 am.

It's now 10:04 am; I didn't see any additional visits, and both cams are choppy. I'm going to ask Ken to take a look and maybe reboot the Wowza.

One of the adults was on the nest briefly - I think Sur. Both cams were pixelating badly so this was the only s'cap I got - but I had another glimpse of his eye. He was only there about a minute.
20200208_009.jpg

I have not yet heard back from Ken, but it is a Saturday, so I emailed, rather than finding my phone to send a text message, which he might see sooner, but he also deserves a weekend.

11:32 am
I decided to try logging into South to check the perches - and found someone at the present named "Perch to Far Left" - the embedded cam resolved long enough for me to get a s'cap, probably because eagles are pretty still when doing S&L.
20200208_011.jpg

Well, this is at least interesting - while watching the direct link, I saw a bird (no white tail and I think smaller than eagle) fly into the upper branches, so I prepared to try for a s'cap when the same action appeared on the embedded cam 30 seconds later - there was only one bird, so this is a series of freeze-frames as it flew across, as opposed to the smooth stream the cam is supposed to deliver.
20200208_012.jpg

11:41 am
I checked a few other perches, but didn't see anyone, then heard some calling and looked back and the adult had left. I need to take a break from the computer, so I'm going to reboot South yet again, and be back in a while.

12:45 pm Checked the DVR back to JudyB's post and all is quiet - S cam appears to be okay - going to check North.

North is stuttering - I think it is pixelating - hard to tell unless there is action! Stuttering usually equates to pixelating on this cam.

Rebooting North (didn't see any activity since gemini's post), then I'm away from the computer again for a while.

3:26 pm
I did a quick check of the dvr, and didn't notice any activity since my last post.

North sounds choppy again, so I zoomed South in a bit closer so there's a better chance of knowing who is who if one or both of the adults show up later this afternoon.

Hi Marg! Nice to see you back! You haven't missed much - some nestorations and a lot of S&L (Standing and Looking!) Things should start to pick up soon.

And happily the South cam is still streaming!

5:59 pm
Still someone on the nest!
20200208_023.jpg

And as he flew off at 6 pm, it looked like Sur's neckline.

I think we have an owl in the nest - that's a first!
20200208_024.jpg
20200208_025.jpg

And it flew off at 6:11 pm.

I don't know enough to know what kind of owl - but it looked enough smaller than the eagles that it shouldn't be a problem for them, and isn't likely to come around when there are eagles in the nest.

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for posting the weather, Bev - happy to see sun in the forecast.

I did a quick check of the overnight dvr, and a bit more careful look as it was getting light, and I'm pretty sure the blurs I saw on North were squirrels in the nest.

I'll give North a quick reboot.

Ken did a reboot of the Wowza server at about 8:30 am, and both cams were streaming nicely immediately afterwards, but North is already pixelating again. I may need to reboot the cam, but will wait a bit before doing that. Keeping fingers crossed that the reboot helped South - our "old reliable" cam has been having issues the last couple of days as well.

10:31 pm
Sur just flew off. I may have missed something, but I think all he did was stand & look.

Going back on the dvr, he arrived at 9:08 am, I think with food, which I think he ate - I went fairly slowly through the thumbnails and didn't see a switch on the nest. He did a bit of work on the nest after that, then a lot of S&L.

Both adults on the nest.
20200209_007.jpg

I think Res is eating, and Sur (I think) took off in a hurry around 11 am.

I'll reboot North now.

Sur came back at 11:05 and is offering to help Res with her meal.
20200209_008.jpg

I do not like the fact that the splash screen with the play button always looks better than the screenshots I take.
20200209_009.jpg

11:10 am
One of them left while I was typing - I think Res.
