Checked the DVR and so eagles seen or heard... I suspect Res and Sur are hunkered down in a tee tree staying dry and cozy!

Good afternoon, everyone, and thanks for your morning reports, Bev!

We've had a visit! My husband let me know there was an eagle on the nest, but I haven't been able to get to my computer until now, so these are from the dvr!

I think this is Res who arrived at 9:36 am

She may have brought something - not sure about that - and the rain picked up soon after she arrived. She did Sur's favorite "standing and looking" for a couple of minutes, then flew off at 9:39 am. I had a glimpse of her tail on both arrival and departure, and didn't see enough dark to think it was Sur.

And in spite of the rain, someone was back at 9:44 with a stick. Pretty sure it was Res again, both based on tail as she landed and the bit of a cowlick.

She flew off at 9:46 am.

I did not see any additional visits on the dvr.

It's now 2:38 pm, and the sun has come out, and I think it would be a lovely time for the eagles to visit - but the nest is empty.

Good morning, everyone! It looks as if we had a visit!

From the dvr....

Someone arrived at 7:27, just before the cam switched to color. Not easy to get a picture, but I think I'm seeing the cowlick, so this is probably Res.
20191118_001.jpg

She's doing some digging in the nest, and a bit of standing and looking. And then, at 7:31, she ducks - and Sur flies in! I don't think he brought anything, but he might have had some small sticks or nesting material. He's in the back here.
20191118_002.jpg

Res flew off at 7:33, and Sur appeared to be breaking up clumps of grass - and of course some standing and looking!
20191118_003.jpg

He flew off at 7:37 am.

I had looked back to the time of Bev's post, and didn't see any other visits. And it's now 8:30 am, and I didn't see any visits after the one I described.

From the dvr....

10:32 am
One of the adults in with what looked like some roots - wonder if someone is doing a bit of landscaping and they're removing leftovers.
20191118_005.jpg

I thought the first adult was Res initially, though the eye had me wondering - and then the real Res arrived with a big stick!
20191118_006.jpg

They both did some work on the nest - liked this little pause when they heard something. Not sure, but I think Res is on the left (rounder neckline)
20191118_007.jpg
Res flew off around 10:36 and Sur left a minute or so later.

I have a video I'll try to add later.

It's now 12:14 pm, and I didn't see any additional visits.

Added -

:vid: It Takes All Kinds of Sticks to Make a Nest (5 minutes)

Sur stood around for another minute after I stopped the recording, then flew off.
