Good afternoon, everyone, and thanks for being here, nightowl and Bev! I have been keeping an eye on the cams when I can - and haven't seen anything yet.
However, BACA03, one of the birds with a tracking device who nests in the same general area, visited his territory (and likely his nest) on the 21st, then apparently headed back north again. You can read more about his travels here - viewtopic.php?f=95&t=366 (there are screenshots of some of the maps) - and you can find the latest on him and the other tagged eagles on our website - https://hancockwildlife.org/beta-bald-e ... -alliance/ BACA03 and TERF03 are the ones who have checked in recently.
I know this is a bit off topic, but I've wondered where our on-camera eagles go when they take off for a month or two after the nesting season - and I suspect they don't all go to the same places - but knowing about one eagle that nested in the Surrey-Delta-White Rock area is a start! The other tagged eagle who may have nested in this general area is TEUS03, and he or she headed north in late July and hasn't checked in since then - which makes me worry, but BACA03 was apparently in a river valley with no cell towers for a month before his recent series of updates, so I'm hoping TEUS03 will also check in before too long.

Good evening, everyone! There was an eagle spotted at White Rock today, so they are beginning to drift back, though David Hancock reports only seeing one eagle in a review of 72 non-cam nests today. Still, probably time to start checking a bit more when I have the time.
6:07 pm
I quickly checked the dvr on both cams, and didn't see any visits. I didn't spend time checking the time, but only went through one night, so maybe they are behaving a bit more normally.
Good night, everyone!

Good morning, everyone! Thanks for the weather report, Bev, and the morning post.
8:12 am
I haven't seen any visits this morning, and did a quick check of the dvr. I also rebooted both cams to reset the dvr - now that eagles are back at Harrison Mills and Mom has returned to White Rock, I figured I'd try to make it easier to catch any visits here (though it's still early, and I think it was the beginning of October before eagles were seen in the area last year).
I'm posting a daylight picture from the North cam, since I'm guessing if either adult visits, they'd feel a compulsion to move a couple of the sticks in the nest!
And I appreciate your daily pictures. Bev - I don't compare them that often, but it does provide a good record of how things are gradually changing as fall is coming on.
