7:52 pm I checked back to the last post on both cams and the nest remained empty until 3:07 pm when Dee came flying in followed shortly after by Ess at 3:10 pm. The next hour and some was spent wandering around the nest eating anything and everything they could lay there beaks on.

At 4:33 pm Dee (ID's confirmed on closeup cam) retired to the slanted trunk perch and Ess remained on the side of the nest watching for any possible incoming parent. She took a short rest break at 6:34 pm then got up again and went back to the side of the nest to keep watch at 6:48 pm. Dee still kept watch from the slanted trunk and there they both remain ever hopeful someone will bring them something to eat.

Eventually they both decided to leave.

:vid:Dee and Ess finally give up and leave

9:52 pm Shortly after leaving, Dee arrived back at the nest again at 8:07 pm. She was squealing all the way - I half expected a parent to follow her in but neither did. However, I could hear one in the background calling out.
7-15-2019 8-07 pm.jpg

Dee must have been able to see him/her because she carried on squealing for sometime - then finally quieted down.

Dee settles down
7-15-2019 8-49 pm.jpg

10:33 pm Dee is still on the nest and it looks like she is spending the night!
7-15-2019 10-33 pm.jpg

1:12 am Don't know what's going on this evening - the off nest eaglet has been calling out off and on since midnight! I keep expecting to see her arrive at the nest as the calls are really close but nothing yet!

Good morning, everyone.

Ess arrived at 5:06 am.
20190716_002.jpg

They did a bit of pecking at each other (nothing serious, more like they were checking to see if the other one was hiding food). One flew off from the nest at 5:13, and the other flew off from one of the perches at 5:15 - so perhaps they saw an adult with food, and went to where the adult was. I heard a few calls.

Ess(?) was on the nest briefly at 8:03 am.
20190716_003.jpg

It's now 8:12 am, and I haven't seen any other visits, though I was looking quickly.

I will reboot North, and then I'm out for a while. I think there's a chickadee on the nest, though it's really hard to tell with the pixelating.

Good morning everyone. Thank you Irisheyes for the weather report and nightowl for starting us off again this morning, Sounds like we may be in for some rain.. I don't mind it because it waters the plants..lol. Thank you, Judy, for the report on our little fledgelings. I looked back but couldn't find anything. I have seen a few Chickadee's in the nest from time to time, I think they eat all the ..natures house keepers. :)

The cams were rebooted about an hour ago, so I can't check back too far - but I did find an adult (I think Sur) on the nest with food at 12:34 pm.
20190716_004.jpg

It sounded as if I could hear one of the fledglings - but no one showed up, and I think he flew off with the food at 12:43 pm (he had been nibbling, so there was less of it by then - but it looked to me as if he carried something off.

I think this is Res who arrived at 1:52 pm (I'm seeing a white stripe on one of her feathers)
20190716_005.jpg

And I still haven't figured which fledgling followed her in and grabbed the prize, which I think is a fish (hard to tell in a still picture - but looked to be a bullhead as the fledgling waved it around).
20190716_006.jpg

I'm leaning towards Ess - but haven't had a good look at the tail yet.

2:26 pm
I realized she's finished her meal and resting (and calling for more food) - and this looks like Ess to me.

10:15 pm Just spent the last half hour looking through DVR's on the north and south cams. Picked up a visit from res at 4:10 pm - she came in with nothing in her talons. She was there just over a minute and made a hasty departure (4:10 pm) when she heard one of the kidlets coming. Whichever eaglet it was did not make a landing in the nest or on one of her perching spots but disappeared behind the leaves at the upper top of the tree. If you watch closely, you can see her leave, do the circle and again land in the leaves somewhere. I couldn't make out where, to see if she left.

:vid: A quick visit from Res and fly-by from eaglet

I'm feeling more and more like each visit we record will be the last as the food deliveries become less and less frequent.

There were no further visits from either parent or eaglet.

Good morning, everyone!

One of the fledglings arrived at the nest around 6:17 am - very pixelated, but I got this - I'm thinking Ess.
20190717_002.jpg

Except that then I got this - which looks more like Dee. :chin:
20190717_003.jpg

Let's just say one of the fledglings arrived! :)

And as of 6:34, she's on the upper perch and occasionally calling for food.
20190717_001.jpg

I'm going to reboot North, then have breakfast - back in a while.

from the dvr....

At 6:45 am, we had a patient fledgling on the upper perch, calling occasionally. And then the fledgling jumped down and an adult arrived with a fish - which the fledgling immediately grabbed.
20190717_004.jpg

Then the second fledgling arrived, and the adult wisely got out of the way!
20190717_005.jpg

And after a brief tussle, the newcomer got the fish away from the one who had been patiently calling and waiting. It was one of those mixed-feeling moments - it wasn't exactly fair - but it was a great job by the new arrival seeing where the food was and grabbing it before the one on the nest knew what happened. (I'm looking through the wide-angle part of the video first - and don't know who is who yet.) New arrival with meal is on the right.

continuing, with images from the overhead/North cam....

Fledgling on the nest grabbing the food from the adult; I don't see any white on the tail, but they are all quite wet.
20190717_007.jpg

I think this is a very wet Res.
20190717_008.jpg

Second fledgling lands and goes for the grab
20190717_009.jpg

Successful chick on the left - maybe some white, but not at all obvious. And I had been thinking it was Ess in the tree - but maybe not.

While I was going back to record that - there was a second food delivery, at 8:19 am. I think this was by Sur, and it was a two-fisted ... or maybe two-footed delivery! I'm not sure what he brought, but there are definitely two of them.
20190717_012.jpg

You can see Sur's black spot as the first fledgling arrives (and the tail looks whiter than in the earlier delivery, supporting my theory that it was Res who brought the fish).
20190717_013.jpg

It was a bit confusing with lots of wings as you'll see in the video, but eventually each fledgling got a piece of meat and a corner of the nest to eat it.

At 2:06 pm Res stopped in with a fish head. She looked around as if expecting one of the eaglets to follow her but not one came. She took a couple of bites and then left the nest at 2:07 pm, leaving the meal behind.

Good morning, everyone! Thank you for your reports, gemini and Bev. I'm just popping in quickly to reboot the North cam - but found both fledglings on the nest. This was the image when I brought up the cams
20190718_001.jpg

And when I opened the cams, Dee on the right is working on something while Ess watches.
20190718_002.jpg

I'll be back after I've had coffee and breakfast to try to put together the rest of the story.

Hi Beth and all! It's now 10:52 am and we have a fledgling on the nest eating (I think Ess) - but I'm going to try to go back and summarize the earlier action before getting to this part.

from the dvr....

An adult on the nest at 5:06 am
20190718_005.jpg

And one of the fledglings floats gracefully down from somewhere straight up - see wide wings landing on the perch on the left.
20190718_006.jpg

The adult left, and the fledgling started working on whatever the adult brought. I rebooted North around 6 am, so can't check for an ID.

The fledgling went to the little perch after eating, then left around 5:15 am.
20190718_007.jpg

Added - I found the video from before the reboot - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HSxX2pqTZc Unfortunately, it's very pixelated, and so far the fledgling hasn't had her tail in view when it clears for a second. It's interesting - it says the video has had 90 views - I do wonder who found it - and how!

So far I'm leaning towards this being Dee - tail seems long and rounded in. There does seem to be some white, but that could be pixel ghosts (or whatever).
20190718_012.jpg

With the cam in greyscale and everything breaking up, I really can't tell.

continuing....

5:26 am
One of the fledglings arrived at the perch on the upper left; she flew in from somewhere on the far side of the nest, so since the South cam is looking towards the North, she came sort of from a northerly direction.
20190718_008.jpg

I think she flew down to the nest after that (I'm jumping around a bit, but have no reason to think there was more than one of them there - and she flew off towards the South cam tree at about 5:30 am.

5:34 am
An adult arrived
20190718_009.jpg

Followed by one fledgling
20190718_010.jpg

and then the other (adult took off when s/he saw second fledgling approaching).
20190718_011.jpg

There was a moment of big wings, and then I think one of them was eating something, though without the North cam, it's hard to be sure of details.
