Hi everyone - and thanks for the great coverage today! I'm home, and catching up after a long day. I love the picture that was on the page when I went to open the cams:
20190610_010.jpg

I'm trying to look back quickly - am I correct that we haven't seen Res today?

If so, that may be a good thing - she's been watching and has decided that Sur has got this, and she can focus on feeding herself and recovering from her injury. But I would like to see a brief visit in the next day or two.

Looking back....

I am amazed at how much these eaglets have grown in the last few days - wow!
20190610_011.jpg
And it's now 5:42 pm, and I looked back to 3:00 pm, and didn't see any visits.

And I had a wonderful weekend with a whole lot of singing and not so much sleeping, so I'm going to do a quick check of a couple of nests and answer a couple of emails, then I'm off to bed. I'll keep the cams up while I'm online, but will say goodnight now, 'cause I'm fading fast.

Hi Irisheyes and Judy, No I haven't seen Res either but sure hope she is taking good care of herself. I got a kick out of watching Dee and Ess this afternoon fighting for the food. Boy! tee sure were a lot of white feathers flying. Yes, Judy, I was thinking the same thing about the kids, they cover the whole nest with their wings when they stretch. I was showing my husband, don't quite know which one it was but he/she lifted right off the nest at one point.

I'm so happy you had a great weekend filled with lots of song and happiness.
Gonna go check the nest quick and then go rest my self.
night for now.

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for the great coverage while I was away! And thanks for the weather, Bev.

North cam is pixelating, and only goes back to 5:10 am - I'll give it a quick scan then reboot it.

I see one of the black squirrels is back (see lower trunk on the right)
20190611_001.jpg

And I believe this is Dee doing a great job defending the nest from little furry invaders!

And I saw two black squirrels briefly - but wasn't able to get a capture of them. Hopefully they will be careful when Sur is around.

I looked back quickly to well before dawn, and did not see any visits so far this morning.

Both eaglets have now noticed the squirrel(s) - one is keeping very still on the left edge of the left trunk, just below the nest.

And I need to step away for a while.
