Like I can hear Judy saying to Stan...spot at the top of this tree. Sounds like Stan thinks this is on the inside of the cam cover

It sounds as if there are some spots on the inside of the cam cover, and Stan and Myles didn't bring the exotic tool needed to get inside. Myles also said the big blob that keeps us from looking down appears to be some sort of oil, perhaps leaked from the cam.

For next year, I'd like to plan on replacing the cam covers here - and I'd like to make it standard procedure for the climbers to have the tools needed to remove the covers in case there are spots or buildup inside.

It's also getting late here, so I'll be logging out of the South cam soon and heading to bed.

Sue, thank you for your zooming and posting today - and when you're ready to log out of the North cam, please use the little house Home button to put the cam back to its default position. Thanks!

Thank you Bev and gemini for posting.

And thank you, David, Myles and Stan!

Good night, everyone. :offtobed:

8:04 am - I am off the N Cam now as I am unable to see anyone on the ground. They are still there, I assume, as some ropes are still up in the other tree.

Thanks to Myles, Stan, & David for making a quick job cleaning the cams here, and to Judy for allowing me a chance to take a spin on the N Cam. Have a great night everyone!

Good morning, everyone! Glad you were able to watch the climbers at work, Beth, and thanks for posting the weather, Bev.

Here's a picture from yesterday evening, just because it's lovely.

When Myles was in the nest, in addition to trimming and rearranging the branches that the eagles tended to get caught on, he removed a couple of little branches that might have interfered with our view over time and put them in the nest - and I'm thinking that the adults will find "proper" locations for them when they return, which will help us know they're back!

Myles also mentioned hearing an owl while he was up the tree - I've forgotten what type he said it was, but he thought it was nearby.

8:30 am
I've looked back on the dvr to yesterday evening (South recorded 12 hours straight, North skipped a couple of hours this morning), and did not see any eagles.

Good morning to you all. Well, I am amazed at how clear the cameras are now. Good job Stan and Myles  When you look at Myles in the nest it gives you an Idea just how big thos eagles are. I notice there aren't the flies there were when the eagles first left, all the food scraps must be gone.

Good job ladies on keeping up witht he cleaning crew. It was interesting for sure.

bye for now. :bye 1:
