Great picture of Brit flying in, Janillb!

I'll start with the cute funny part - smaller chick did another ps - and unfortunately, did not look where it was headed! You may notice the new white stripe on the adult's back?

And I just watched the smaller chick move over to the adult, and I'm pretty sure there's an issue with the right leg or foot. Not sure how obvious it is in the screenshot, but the right foot, nearer the cam, seems twisted.

I have a short video that I think is small enough that I can send it to David Hancock to get his opinion.

Please send good thoughts to our eagle family here. :huggie:

1850 - A feeding ended where the smallest one did not get fed. He/she was unable to climb up high like the bigger one who was getting all the bites. I was hoping that Rey would feed him purposely at some point, but he only paid attention to the bigger one. The little one was able to grab a piece, but it was a feather I think. Poor little one. I hope Brit comes soon and brings a big meal for both chicks.

I went back and watched the video at 16:44, and agree something looks wrong with the right foot on the smaller let.

The let is using wings a lot for balance, hope this gangly wobbliness is just from normal growth or a minor healable injury and it will stabilize soon.

Some good footage of them walking around, clumsy, left foot stepping on the right, very awkward.

9:12pm.....Thanks Judy, CC and janillb for your posts! It seems the eaglets can't get a break these days. We shall try to be positive here and hope that they will get through this like they have done in the other worrisome situations.

IN on both cams.

9:28pm....Checked the rollback.......good news about the small eaglet getting food!

From the rollback...........Rey had left the nest earlier and at 8:05pm we saw him bring a large bird to the nest for dinner.

9:31pm......From the rollback............Brit mantled the prey and Rey flew from the nest. Great news! Smaller eaglet managed to crawl close enough to Brit for a feeding. Large eaglet stayed back, was likely already pretty full from prior meals. So in the end, the little eaglet got several bites uninterrupted!! :hooray:

Rey popped back to the nest with something small in the nest........maybe my imagination but it looked like a small bird head to me. :dunno: He then left.

Big eaglet did take a bite or two, but most of the meal was directed towards small eaglet.

9:56pm...Brit was asleep for a few minutes, then woke up and began grooming her feathers. She is awake and watchful of her surroundings. Soon she will sleep.
