Thanks for the great coverage here - and welcome, Andrea and class!

Yesterday evening a little after 7 pm, Rey was on nest duty - and something caught his attention - the original post is here - viewtopic.php?f=114&t=640&start=3825#p659410
I posted pictures at the time, and managed to record some video a little later - and have finally uploaded the completed video to YouTube. It shows the action from both cams, with more details from the North/overhead cam - and that video jumps from 7:07 to 7:38 pm because that's how long Rey held one wing out protectively before settling in for normal incubation. The section for the South cam is shorter - and I did look back on the dvr when I recorded and didn't see anything nearby.
Text for video -
Our new young pair at our Surrey Reserve bald eagle cam nest are doing a great job caring for their eggs. In this video, male Rey was on egg duty, and I don't know what he saw (there are squirrels that scamper around when the nest is empty and sometimes little birds nest in the bottom of eagle's nests, helping with pest control) - but something somewhere tried to get to close to his precious eggs, and he went for a two-winged slap-down to discourage anyone from coming closer. The video shows the initial activity from both cameras, and does have some gaps where nothing was happening; it was more than 30 minutes before he pulled in his protective wing. You can watch them live at https://hancockwildlife.org/surrey-reserve-cams/ and there are lots of pictures on our forum at viewtopic.php?f=114&t=640&start=3825#p659410 ~JudyB
Rey Guards the Nest (3:43, both cams)
If you look back to the post, you'll see Jean's report from a little later when he responded similarly when Brit woke him up flying in to take over incubation - he's definitely figured out that protecting the eggs is part of his job!

1:44 pm in rollback, Rey is up to eat some leftovers for a few minutes. He then lies backdown in the nest bowl.

Re: Surrey Reserve 2022-2023 Observation and Discussion
2:43 pm Rey is dozing off and on in the nest. Both he and Brit have been doing a wonderful job of taking care of their eggs, getting up periodically to roll them and to aerate the nest bowl.

Thanks, Judy, for the video. Impressive how well both Rey and Brit have taken to care for their eggs. Eagle instinct is amazing!

3:20 pm in rollback, Brit comes flying into the nest and Rey extended his wings as vocalizing. Both vocalized.

4:10 pm Brit is up and looked like she rolled her eggs. Can see the wonky feather sticking out again.

1915 - Brit is upset, I'm in on the cams.
Looks like she did a fly-around after vocalizing.
1916 - Brit was quickly back on her eggs. It's cold and windy today. She continues to call, so I think she wants a break.

1921 - Brit is calling persistently. I suspect she is demanding Rey relieve her now, as she would be reluctant to leave their eggs uncovered in this weather I would think.
1927 - Brit is postured low due to the high winds, but still looking around.
1929 - Brit starts calling

1936 Rey arrived to relieve his mate and check on his precious eggs, which he did.
Is that a brood patch on Rey?
Brit vocalized at him even as she flew from the nest. Have a good break Brit!

1959 - Brit landed with food, but not sure what it was. Rey vocalized and watched her a bit before getting up
A look at the eggs
2001 - Rey flew, but I did not find him perched nearby. In this weather, he'll likely be in his storm shelter behind the Douglas Fir.
