Good morning, everyone, and thanks for starting our day, nightowl!

SM left his perch near the buildings around 8:10 pm, after doing a bit of calling - these were shortly before he left.

I did a quick check of the dvr back to around 7:40 pm, and didn't see any visits, though I may have missed a quick in-and-out.

Looks like a warm day in BC - stay cool, everyone!

I'll be away from the computer part of the day - also a lovely warm sunny day in Maine, and we plan to be out enjoying it. :)

Quick check of dvr - still didn't see anyone.
Also did a quick peek at the leafy perch near the buildings, and didn't see anyone there.

Good night, everyone!

7:20 am Good morning everyone! It seems the forum is back up again - at least for the moment!

I checked the north DVR back to 7:00 pm last night but didn't see any eagles.

Good morning, everyone - forum seems to be working - keeping fingers crossed. :luck:

I did a quick check back to gemini's post, and didn't see any activity. It looks like a very warm day in Surrey, so I would expect the eagles to be hanging out in a shady spot near the water - though perhaps I'm just thinking of where I'd want to be on such a day!

I also did a bit of looking around with the South cam and didn't see any eagles.

I didn't see any visits yesterday when I checked the dvr, but I think CC might has seen one of them at the nest.

Have a good day, everyone!

CC reported in an email that on Sunday, June 26, at 12:06 pm, she could hear the eagles calling before one landed in the nest to check out the old dead bird.

Hey SR friends. It was a scorcher out there today, so hopefully, our Eagles are keeping cool down on the beach. I'll listen out for them for a bit tonight.

2123 - No Eagles to the nest since Judy's last update and I did not see them on the night perch, but it's still light out.

Good night everyone

Good morning, everyone!

I just checked the dvr back to CC's post, and didn't see any visits. It looks as if the weather here will be a bit more comfortable today, so perhaps the eagles will be more active.

I just checked the dvr, and didn't see any eagles.

I also looked at a few places where they sometimes perch and didn't see anyone - but with the leaves, it's hard to tell if anyone is there.

Good evening SR friends. I did a quick check of the DVR

2143 - One of our Eagles landed, not sure which one

2144 - A very quick visit before flying off - I heard vocals not long after so I suspect the SF joined her mate the SM on the night perch. Let's go find out!

2248 - I found one of them perched with their head tucked. The mate could be there but it's too dark to tell. I'll leave the cam on our sleeping Eagle, which you can see on the edge of the left side, keeping the privacy of nearby residents in mind.

Good night!

Thanks for the late night post, CC - good to see one of them stopping by!

From the dvr....

4:35 am
Only one adult visible when it got light enough to see.

That adult flew off at 4:37 am. I didn't see any other activity on the South cam.

Switching to the north cam dvr...

An adult arrived at the nest at 4:42 am, and moved a couple of the sticks in the nest.

Not sure which adult this is.

Some shading on the tail, so maybe SF?

She(?) flew off at 4:45, just after this s'cap.
20220629_007.jpg

An adult arrived at 5:08 am, I think with food.
20220629_008.jpg

Adult was there eating a long time, but at the top of the nest so not easy to see identifying characteristics.

Food was finished by 5:26, and adult cleaned/feaked their beak by rubbing on some branches, then stood around a bit, finally flying off at 5:31 am. Still not sure of the ID, though leaning towards SF.

It's now 8:07 am, and I didn't see any additional visits.

Back in a while - have a good day, everyone!
