6:39 pm
From the dvr....
One of the adults landed on the nest at 5:26 pm
He (?) went up to the little perch, then up to the slanted branch.
It's now 6:43 pm. He is still there, and I did not see the other one come in, though if she flew to the upper branches, it would have been easy to miss her arrival.
And it is late here, so I'll say goodnight now.
If I'd been more awake, I would have included their fly-in to the nest in the video - it was lovely to watch! I still have the raw footage - I may try doing that tomorrow. - or if anyone else would like to do that - please go for it!

The adult who had been high in the tree flew down and to the left; the other one was still on the mostly hidden perch at the middle of the screen (these pictures click quite a bit bigger).

Thirty seconds later, an adult (likely the same adult) comes flying in from the lower left.

And I wish I'd known they were planning to do this so I could have zoomed in - but it looks to me as if the one who flew in assumed an inviting posture, and the one who had been waiting there accepted the invitation and flew to her back and they bonded. Here's a picture of the one on top with wings spread for balance - and I'll have a 90-second video shortly.

This pair is new to us so we don't know if they've nested before (together or separately) - but based on what I know of other eagles in the area, I wouldn't expect eggs for at least another month, so my guess is this was part of their courtship and perhaps acceptance of each other as potential mates, rather than focused on producing eggs.
I must admit I am very curious to see what happens next.

0636 - Good morning SR friends. We have one Eagle in the tree that I can see. Not sure if the other is there and hiding in the darkness.
I'll go check the DVR.
ADDED: Looks like that Eagle stayed in that spot all night. Our other one must be close.

A bird just arrived by the partly hidden upper perch - I'm going to log in to zoom in.
I think there's someone there, probably behind the tight branch/trunk - but not easy to see.
And I could make out a white head when I zoomed in, but couldn't get the cam to focus. Here's a cropped larger shot; the neckline is on the left, just under the sort of horizontal branch.
And while I'm here - good morning, everyone, and thanks for your updates, CC!
I have logged out of the cam and am away from the computer - please feel free to adjust the view.

The adult flew off at 8:58 am. I've moved the cam back to a wider view of the tree, and am out of the cam and away from my computer.

Grrr.. I deleted my browsing history this morning can now cannot use the cams. It lets me log in but then I cannot do anything at all. I'll have to figure it out later.
I tried to see if we had any Eagles on that perch but I cannot tell.

Glad your zooming log-in is working now. Hopefully Judy will get the other log-in issue fixed; maybe just a setting gone wild.CC398 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 1:31 pmHi Marianne. 1336 - Someone is keeping watch in the Nest Tree. I cannot tell whom but they have a nice crop.

Good job finding one of them, CC - and I hadn't noticed the crop - but you're right - that is nice and plump!
My guess is that this is the female - I'm not sure if she's actually young, but it seems at times as if there are some gray feathers among the white feathers on her head. Definitely a full adult, but maybe she still has some dark feathers here and there. I'll try to keep an eye on her tail, as there might be a trace of a shadow there as well if she's 5 or 6.
I also just heard two loud bangs - not hearing sirens, so whatever it was, I guess it's OK.
