2006 - the rain has made visibility quite poor. I can see that our Eagle has not left that perch and I don't see a second Eagle. I hope this rain goes away

2026 - She turned around and flew downwards to the right at the back of the Nest. I listened for a bit but did not hear anything but some local traffic.

I tried to see where she might have gone as it seemed she went for a glide and it's quite dark and she's not familiar with the territory yet so you'd think she'd stay close? Anyways, it's too dark to see.

North cam is frozen as of 12:52 am (as are several other embedded cams) - I've sent a message to Ken.

I took a quick look around at upper branches and the perch by the buildings and didn't see anyone other than the eagle on the east perch, though it's still quite dark and there are lots of reflections on the cam cover.

I put the North cam back on the nest after checking the perch, and have the South cam looking at the lower perches since I think it's more likely that we'll see the second adult there - please feel free to move them.

I am out of both cams.

5:51 am
Adult on east perch is awake and looking around. It's very windy. I need :coffee2: Bye! :)

The adult flew off at 6:35 am, shortly after this s'cap.

I looked around a bit but didn't see anyone - am leaving the cam with a closer view of the nest and nearby perches until it's lighter or the north cam is streaming again.

8:26 am
North embedded cam is streaming again - thanks, Ken!

I've moved South to show more of the upper branches - please feel free to move it.

I'll be away from the computer until at least early afternoon, though I'll be checking my phone for messages from time to time.

Have a good day, people and eagles!

I just checked the dvr back to my previous post - and found one visit. And it's not by either of the resident pair!

A young eagle, with no white that I could see on their head, tail or chest, arrived at 8:36 am.

They landed on the partly hidden upper perch, and stayed there until 9:23, when they flew from the perch and went back the way they'd come. Not easy to see the eagle unless you click bigger - it's in about the same spot as the first s'cap, but a little higher so partly in the branches.

This is cropped from full screen, with tail spread wide - it looks like a juvenile to me. And after I posted I realized this one is very hard to see - it's above and slightly to the left of the hidden perch.

I did listen to the North cam around the time the juvie flew off, and did not hear any calls - so I don't think the adults were nearby.

It's now 2:41 pm, and that was the only activity I saw.

Good afternoon SR friends. Look how beautiful the territory looks with that sky. I'm going to log in to the cams and take a look around.

1614 - More pretty views but no Eagles seen yet.

I've got the south cam on the home setting, for now, to hopefully catch someone flying to the Nest before dark. I'll be watching and listening.

1650 - Someone landed in the Nest. Of course, I was distracted for the just over 3-minute visit and missed my zoom-in chance. They dug around in the bowl briefly and checked out something at the edge of the nest. I think this is the New Male.

They flew up to Res's/New Male's perch, sat for a moment before flying at 1653

Not sure who this is - leaning towards the female.

And off she or he goes at 5:19 pm. I couldn't look fast enough to tell if the slightly frayed feather that indicates the male was there.

Thanks, CC :thumlft: - I know the males fluff up a bit if it's cold or windy, making it a lot harder to judge by size which was all I'd been able to see so far.

It's been a long day - time for me to say goodnight!
