Someone just landed - but the cams are pixelating again.

The second one arrived (from zoomer link)

I'm going to try to reboot the cams - North also has condensation, which seems to be an issue some days.

I know the first one brought a stick, and think the second one might have, too.

I think it was female Res who flew off (thought I saw the dark spot on her head that's a shadow from the feather that sticks up a bit.
20181202_004.jpg

And Sur just flew off as well.

North reboot is finished, and South - just came back up as well.

It seems that a reboot doesn't help for long, but when Ken restarted the Wowza server, the cams seemed to be better for a couple of days, so I may ask him to do that later today.

Not seeing anyone down by the water, but there's a lot of waterfront nearby, and I know David Hancock has a good idea where these eagles' territory is, but we're still trying to figure out how that relates to what we can see with the camera.

Hi everyone -

Well, the embedded cams are down, and it's sort of my fault. Well, not exactly, but....

I asked Ken to reboot the Wowza server - and he did - and it wouldn’t accept his password. He’ll be in touch with Wowza in the morning but unfortunately there’s not much we can do until then.

I’m sorry. :(

Good morning, everyone!

9:50 am
Adult in with a BIG stick
20181203_001.jpg

And moved it to the side of the nest.
20181203_002.jpg

And I lost the cam page - clearly an internet issue on my end since I don't even have empty boxes.

I noticed a spot beside the adult's right eye - after several tries, I got a s'cap of it and it looks like a bit of dirt.

The second adult arrived while I was trying to get a picture of the eye.

A picture of both of them.

One flew off, the other followed a minute or so later.

And I'm also out for a while, and off the South cam.

Sur is back on the nest, I think with another stick - and he is the one with the smudge near his eye. I thought so initially, but this time I saw the little black spot on his tail, though I couldn't get a screenshot.

Just came back to the computer after dinner - and there was an eagle on the nest! Based on the neckline, I think this is Sur.

He flew off right after I took the screenshots - I think he was waiting for me! :mihihi:

9:30 am Have had the cam on since about 6:00 am this morning - no sign of Sur and Res yet - maybe soon?

So Sur arrived at about 9:37, just stood around and listened most of the time until Res arrived at about 9:42. They both worked on the nest for about 2 minutes then one left and came back at 9:46 with a stick. They continued to work until 9:52 then Sur left and shortly after Res left.

I will put together a video of the highlights later this afternoon - company coming shortly!

As we headed to the office to check email after dinner, Charlie was ahead of me and called "two eagles in the nest"! And I managed to get a picture, then both cams went offline.
20181204_001.jpg

Cams are back a minute later. The one on the left is eating while the other keeps watch - my guess is it's Sur keeping watch while Res eats. And I think I see feathers being removed - and I'm sorry it's a bird, but happy it's not one of the squirrels. The one eating is in back from this perspective:
20181204_002.jpg

Not positive and I didn't get a screenshot, but I'm pretty sure I saw the tuft on Res's head when she looked up from eating just before this picture.
20181204_003.jpg

I am pretty sure that Sur would be happy to snack on any leftovers. :)

Sur grabbed some pieces and and swallowing them. It always concerns me when they eat bones - but they do seem to know what they are doing. Res still has most of the meal.

Not sure, but I think Res moved away from the food, and Sur is checking for leftovers.
20181204_006.jpg

5:16 pm
One flew off - I think female Res, but I'm not sure.

5:18 pm
Remaining adult (Sur?) is working on a wing.
20181204_007.jpg

I'm afraid I need to leave now - good night, everyone - and thank you, nightowl, Bev, gemini, DDuckies and all for stopping by today.

And to those who are watching but haven't posted - please feel free (and encouraged) to post what you see. Saying "an eagle was on the nest briefly at 5 pm" is great - we are trying to figure out how to tell them apart, but it's not that important until they start laying eggs! :)

And the remaining eagle flew off at 5:21 pm.

Good night, everyone! :offtobed:

Hi everyone!

5:00 pm
I was in the other room and had the cams up - and heard an eagle!

I think this is Res finishing up the leftovers - didn't get a clear shot, but I saw the tuft of feathers on her head a couple of times.
20181205_001.jpg

Image on the North cam is pixelating badly whenever Res moves - happily the South cam is OK for now and that Res stands still occasionally.
20181205_002.jpg

Res flew off at about 5:06 pm. I'm rebooting North.

Not that late, but I seem to get tired early - good night, everyone! :offtobed:
