An early season low-pressure system will dive through the area this weekend ushering in chilly temperatures, gusty winds, and possibly our first little snowfall of the season. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies today with a few showers or thunderstorms possible, highs in the 50's, westerly winds 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph. Low pressure will dig through the Great Basin this evening into Sunday with a chance of showers continuing. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 20's tonight which could bring the snow level down around 6,500 feet with a dusting of snow possible. Travelers should be prepared for the potential of some wintry weather and carry tire chains! Showers will taper off Sunday morning with highs in the upper 40's to around 50 degrees, nearly 10-20 degrees below average. Higher pressure will slowly build back in across the region next week for fair and gradually warmer weather.
