aka_AEF (Moderator): Oh we had a beautiful visitor! Bogie, our osprey who is a summer tenant here in the Hamlet! No they will not be using the nest to lay eggs as Ospreys have their own nests. They just like to hang out here ... kinda like us! LOL

aka_AEF (Moderator): We just had a visit from what appeared to a visitor eagle. At first glance it appeared to be Romeo, but after seeing no distinguishing marks, no black in the tail feathers, lacking speckles in the eye, and a narrow neck and larger nares, we think maybe it was a visitor.

No words to express what a season it has been on this nest. I loved everyday I spent here and documenting the lives of this beautiful family and I learned so much from the Mods on the cam chat ! Thank You to the American Eagle Foundation and Al Cecere for sponsoring this wonderful cam giving us the opportunity to follow the lives of Romeo and Juliet and their family .. and thank you Hancock Wildlife Foundation for streaming this cam on your website ..

Cam ops will be on duty as available. Thank you for sharing with us one exceptional nesting season. May Sky and Spirit fly high and free. May Romeo and Juliet rest up and return raring to go in the fall. They all stole our hearts! SED Y'all
