Little Miami Conservancy Eagle Nest Cam 2021-2022
This new camera was installed this past September. It is part of the awareness and conservation efforts of the Little Miami Conservancy. Established in 1967, this organization seeks to support and improve the area surrounding the Little Miami National Wild and Scenic River in the state of Ohio. The nest is located within private land. The pair of eagles have no names so far. Here is a link to the organization:

SUNDAY, October 17
Little Mom and Little Dad arrived today at 7:30. This time, one of them called out but the other didn’t respond. However, it appears that the other adult was already in one of the nest tree’s branches. The first adult had hopped from above. It’s possible they spent the night on the tree.

MONDAY, October 18
Morning vocals from two adults at 7:15. Foggy, wet weather. They were not seen on camera this morning.

7:30 morning vocals but not from tree. More distant. Not seen on camera this morning.
THURSDAY, October 21
After missing a day, today the Littles regaled us with beautiful morning calls at 7:10 and an extended visit to work on restoring and repairing the nest beginning at 7:14

Morning vocals at 7:35 What sounded like gunshots heard at 11:21 & 11:22, 11:24 Many shots, possibly from a rifle were shot every minute to minute and a half for about a half hour.
7:15 marching band heard at distance. Yep.

There appears to be a squirrel nest inside the eagle nest. One can see them often, especially early in the morning. The Littles arrived quietly and almost simultaneously this morning. 7:37

It’s 11:03 One of the Littles arrived by themselves at 7:00pm After hopping between the most favored branch and the nest a few times, it finally walked off camera at 7:10. It’s a rainy night.

At around 9:30pm one of the Littles walked on the preferred branch onto camera view and has remained there since. Good night It’s 11:05pm

For the first time this season, one of the Littles spent the night in camera view. Sitting on th most favorite branch, this adult vocalized this morning at 7:14. The response came from far away.
At 7:27, the adult hopped onto the nest. More morning vocals at 7:30. They hopped to the branch and off camera at 7:36 They hopped back on to the nest at 8:04. At 8:06, it hopped up on the branch and off camera. It’s 10:05
