After a pretty active day yesterday, thunderstorms should become less widespread today as upper-level moisture decrease in response to a developing onshore flow. Expect partly cloudy skies out there today with an isolated shower or thunderstorm possible this afternoon, especially eastern areas. Highs in the mid 70's with southwest winds 5-15mph. Skies will clear out tonight as lows fall to the lower 40's. A trough pushing into the west coast will lead to drier conditions tomorrow into the weekend with gusty southwest winds to 20mph at times and cooler temperatures. Highs will remain in the lower 70's over the weekend through much of next week, closer to average, while overnight lows drop back into the 30's. Overall, it looks like generalized troughing will dominate our weather headed into October with occasional weak ridging for seasonal fall weather.
