Troughing along the west coast will lead to slightly cooler temperatures this weekend with an increasing onshore flow. High pressure will slowly build westward again early next week with slightly warmer temperatures and a possible return of some late-season monsoon moisture. Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the lower 70's, south to southwest winds 5-15mph with gusts near 20mph possible during the afternoon. As moisture increases Sunday, we could see some elevated convection spark an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Highs will remain in the 70's while overnight lows drop into the upper 30's and 40's. We have a little better shot for afternoon thundershowers Monday before a drier southwest flow develops on Tuesday. Seasonal fall weather will continue for the remainder of the week with near normal temperatures, breezy afternoons, and dry weather.
