Good late night everyone. I visited the nest just before sunset tonight.

:vid: VIDEO: https://youtu.be/kEOApGlfvnc

The Nest Area Looks Great After The Storm 06.05.22

I visited the nest this evening after the storm from a tropical system produced heavy rain with minimal winds a few days ago. All looked good at the nest and nest area. The field grasses have grown quite a bit since I was there ten days ago. Harriet & M15 were not there nor did they arrive while I waited for sunset. It is not unusual to not see them this time of year as they have no 24/7 duties at the nest without eggs/eaglets. I know they were enjoying the sunset wherever they perched for the night.

:eag: .... :ty: Vicki for visiting the nest tree area! So good to see that everything looked okay there!

 I saw Harriet (?) sitting in Nest 2 @ the 3:53 mark. (You said it was hard to see things in the pasture area due to the sun setting in the West.)

:hatch: Looking at today's picture of newly hatched eaglets reminds me of question I had when E20 hatched. There is a rather large bare looking patch between wings on back--that is, looks like no down. Does anyone know what causes that? It seemed to be more pronounced on E20 than E19.

:eag:  That dark spot on E19 was from some dried (juicy) fish gunk.

📝 Page 148: (check out page 147, too, for more of this story!)

:eag: :hatch: Harriet tried to get some of that dried fish off from E19's back...

9:07am - While Harriet looked down at E19 & E20...E19 looked up at Harriet with some downy feathers and grass in its beak.

9:07am - Harriet noticed that dried fish juice on E19's back and tried to remove it...with
disapproval from E19 or E19 just wanting more food!
;)

9:07am - Well, with Harriet being insistent to remove that stuff on E19's back...E19 bobbled over onto E20. :D

Thank you, Journi.

I did find that out early this morning and have edited the video title and description to reflect Harriet's presence.

 :coffee2: Good morning!
"Tempus Fugit!" It has been 20 days since E20 departed and 40 days since E19 left.
It is 1200 miles to my area..... :chin: :D

Pictures from Monday, 3/28/22
E19 on the outer attic arch. I was happy I captured these photos of the heart
on E19's chest feathers. I had seen it on the cams before. :rh:
