It's a great event to get outside and enjoy nature. I find it very exciting no matter how many times I see bald eagles.

I am thinking a 2 1/2 to 3 year old eagle in flight here. What a beauty!

David said some eagles were fighting over a red headed duck. He forgot the name of the type of duck. I think this may be the duck. A juvie got it, then unfortunately dropped it. These next pictures are the reason why eagle parents teach their babies to protect their food.

The struggle to keep food. Eagles think it is easier to steal food rather than catching it themselves. So keeping food among a lot of eagles is a hard task. (photos taken by David Becht & used with permission).

And the struggle to keep the food continues, no matter who last got it. (photos taken by David Becht & used with permission).

Exciting news. The Trio 2020-2021 cam is live. Now this is different from years past as we will only have a view from afar of the nest. But we should be able to see the Starr and her Valors coming and going.
As promised, we are sharing with you the fixed view we have to monitor the new nest from afar. No additional cameras will be added while the nest is in use.

Good morning Phillipe, Joan, and all Trio lovers. The Stewards have gone live with the cam for the Trio eagles so we are moving to a new thread for the upcoming nesting season and locking this thread for any posts. Hope to see you there as we observe these wonderful eagles in their new nest.

Please use this link for all future posts. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=536
