Hi Terri!

Oh my goodness but what marvelous photos you have posted this time. You really out did yourself in the photo's this time. Absolutely outstanding job of catching Guardian fishing. So reminds me of the of the 2015 season with the kids at the river. Brings a huge smile to my face. Thank you so much for posting this. Congrats on the hatch too! Can't wait to see pics of them.

Right now Terri it's just best to Stay home and Stay safe. Take care!

Hi Rita!

I'm so glad you enjoyed those photos! That was a lot of fun watching him snag that big fish right out of the river!

In California they are allowing us to go out on bike rides still, so that is what I am doing when I go down to see the eagles! I am not congregating with crowds of people just riding up & down the trail by myself so I should be ok!

Since the leaves have come in now I can't really shoot from the 44 Bike Trail anymore so I will be moving to a very secretive spot on the backside of the Nest Tree area that no one else knows about to observe & photograph our eagle family for the next few months. My hubby & I had to work on a secret trail to get into this spot so I'm not worried about anyone else being in there! Just me & the eagles! It's kind of like having your own private Eaglecam! I just sit & stare through my spotting scope & watch this wonderful eagle family! It is also a wonderful distraction for me & it has helped me get through some tough times in my life in the past! :thumlft:

Here is Miss Liberty soaring above the Nest Tree area on her break the other day...

Hi everyone! Hope you are all safe & sound & healthy!

These are trying times for sure & I am sorry to share that we lost one of our Ground Crew Members & an integral part of our Redding Eagle Team on Sunday :(

Mark Neal was a dear friend of mine for 30 years & a fellow educator who actually worked with me for 2 years at my last School before I retired. He was such a kind & caring person who loved following & photographing our Redding Eagles. He was the one who helped us install the new Eaglecams at the Turtle Bay Nest in 2015 and then helped get those cams running again in 2017 when Liberty & Spirit returned to their old nest & had our sweet Solo. He was our techy guy & our own MacGyver who could always find a way & figure things out & get things working!

I will miss seeing him on the trails & sharing all kinds of wildlife adventures with him...

Soar free & far upon the wings of eagles Mark! I know you will still be out there with me in spirit when I'm hanging out with our Redding Eagles :rh:

Guess who I saw today?!?

One of the eaglets!!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!!!

I was on the 44 Trail instead of the Swamp Spot because I saw an eagle on Pond Perch! It turned out to be Guardian!

While I was on that trail I decided to take a peek at the nest to see if I could see anything from that vantage point?

Well I sure did! Miss Liberty was up there & all of a sudden I saw this cute little gray fuzzy head peeking over the rim of the nest!!!

Welcome to the World little one!!!

I didn't see any other eaglet(s) today, but I will need to keep checking because there could be another one or two eaglets who are just smaller than this one & aren't visible from the ground quite yet?

Tears streamed down my face as I saw this little sign of Hope up there in the nest with our beautiful Eagle Mama Miss Liberty...

Sweet dreams baby eagle!
