Is anyone on this forum that can answer a question for me: is there any way that a superimposed nest clock can be added to the cam view. It would be very helpful fo be able to rollback to catch what’s happened by looking for a specific time event. Who can I contact about this? All other nests have this.

Kitcat, your scaps are much appreciated. My timing is off and I don't always catch them on the nest or getting food deliveries. I especially like the ones with the traffic jams. Everyone seems to want to be in the same spot on the nest.
If no one knows who to ask about the nest can you might try going to the Glacier Gardens web site and contacting them. I noticed that the camera does weird things when it is getting light out in the morning. It acts like there should be an infrared light for night that isn't working. :dunno:

There are some questions I am planning to ask the owners at GG, and the time capability on the cam feed is one of them. I will contact Tina this evening. We should be prepared to make a donation which I am more than willing to do. I know all these tech things cost a lot of money.

Thanks jwin. My timing is off a little too,so have to rely on the dvr.

Sassyk, that would be great if you can ask about the time. I would be more than willing to make a donation too.

I sent an email to Tina at Glacier Gardens regarding the possibility of providing a time stamp on the live streaming video feed and infra-red night vision. She has replied today:

"Thank you for your suggestions and have passed them along to the owners, we have the eagle cam streaming in our visitors center so our guest can enjoy the live feed, the time stamp seems to take away from the picture itself. We do want everyone to enjoy the live feed sorry if it inconvenient. Because we are located in a residential area and want to have as little impact on the Eagle's themselves a night light is not something we will add."

I tried :(

Thanks sassyk for trying. I appreciate their concerns but not quite sure how the time stamp detracts from a picture but definitely their call. Also I thought IR lighting was invisible so as not to interfere with the eagles. Oh well, each nest is different.

Yes, thanks Sassyk, it was worth the asking. And I agree, Kitcat, I also thought the light was invisible to the eagles.
That doesn't affect the cuteness of the GGs though. :rh: :mihihi: These two get along so well together, :huggie: even when they are competing for food.

Nice feeding this morning. I don't know how they do it but the GGs look more and more grown up every time I see them. :rh:

I also thought the IR night light wasn't visible to the eagles but perhaps she means the light would be shining around the nest site and disturbing the neighbours? Also the time stamp on other live feeds takes up very little space in the corner so I don't see why it would make a difference. However, we are fortunate to be able to watch this nest and for that I thank the owners at Glacier Gardens for providing us with this wonderful opportunity to watch the eagles raising their eaglets. This has indeed been a successful nest this season and I wish the eaglets well in their travels and lessons in hunting for their own food. Hopefully the owners at the gardens will post a final comment before shutting off the cam for the season.

Thanks sassyk for your thoughts. You are so right, this has been a very successful nest this year and I too thank Glacier Gardens for providing us with this window to watch these magnificient wild birds; and this area is absolutely gorgeous. Since the eaglets and a parent are still coming to the nest, I hope they will keep the cam on for a while.

jwin36, they have surely been wonderful to watch this summer! Mama and Papa paid a visit to the nest two days ago, on 9/13 and deeagle55 did post a video if you missed that. Was great to see them again, and I also wish for Equality and Justice a life of full crops and lots of fun exploring and discovery. What a wonderful summer nest!

Thanks Glacier Gardens for letting us view this beautiful nest. GG2 and GG3 were so entertaining and I loved watching them. Until next season.....fly high, soar with others, be safe and may you always have full crops.

Good Day All! I was just checking around some cams and found Glacier Gardens had an adult visitor earlier today. I think around 8:15 am nest time. It was about 1 hour and 20 minutes ago. Looked like they brought in a fish head. They left about an hour ago.

Hi everyone. I sent an email to Tina at GG to enquire how the eaglets are doing. She said they have not seen the eaglets for sometime now; they are out on their own. The adults have been spotted early in the day but they have not been seen lately. They will be shutting down the site after the 1st of Oct. I will be closing this thread at that time and will open a new one next season when the site comes online again.

SueB, I will let Tina know that you captured an adult on the nest early this morning.

Thanks to GG for the privilege of watching this eagle family over the nesting season and I wish the eaglets safe travels wherever they explore and hope they return to the gardens healthy and well fed. Also thanks to everyone who has posted observations and s'captures; it has been such an enjoyable season :thumlft:

Good Saturday morning Sassyk and everyone!
I thought I'd check in to visit the nest one last time before the live cam is turned off for the season and...
I saw Mom flying in and landing on the nest! (It was reported that she arrived around 7am nest time.)
I took these scaps to share with everyone...

Mom lands in the nest and vocalizes...

After being on the nest for a few minutes, she jump up to the branch and looks back to her nest...

So happy to know that GG2 & GG3 are two healthy eaglets that are now on their own beautiful life-journey! :rh:
It's been wonderful to be able to visit this beautiful nest!

11:37am - After spending some time visiting her nest, Mom looks around and then flies away...

I turned the cam on this morning and got a nice surprise :thumlft: Mom flew in from the left side and landed in the nest, stood there looking down at the nest and around the area, jumped up to the branch on the right of the nest, perched there preening for awhile then flew off. According to the chat she landed at 10:07am nest time. I managed to get the recorder going and I'll be back with some s'caps.
