Good morning everyone :bye 1: Thanks for the coverage last night Philjo and hey Jwin!

I've heard Obey this morning so he is around

8:38a - Beautiful morning

I'm glad to know Obey is home..and I'm still holding out hope that this other eagle is River now :luck: Maybe Dale was just keeping Obey company until River came home!

I asked for some videos from the 9/12 morning visit and Deeagle kindly uploaded some for us!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqJSM4LYMGQ

I am sure this is Obey during this visit.

Also, for the first time since the cams have been on, I think we FINALLY heard our girl River this morning. Video thanks to Marty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGA-bEkP6_I

So now the question becomes, what has been going on here LOL? My best guess is that River was still on her long vacation, and Dale decided to spend some time here. I know eagles are social during the off-season so I have to guess Obey has just been tolerating her. Might also explain why he hasn't really been seen at the nest tree with her, we've only heard him in the area.

Fingers crossed we see more of Obey and what I hope is River today!

Hey Bev :bye 1:

I'm wondering if River just took an extra long vacation :chin: And maybe Obey tolerated Dale while River was gone :dunno: And maybe River is back now... Who knows?! Not me LOL...and yes, like you said, only time will tell what's going on here!

Hi Steph...... I do know that the Males won't chase Females of the nest and maybe your are right ..Obey tolerated Dale...... since it is not yet nesting season on this nest and time will tell..... It is best to wait and see ! JMO!

Males deal with other Males and Females do the same with other Females .....having said that I have seen both tolerate Juvies around as long as it wasn't during the nesting season !
