I visited the Park last Thursday (Oct 31) and saw 1 adult eagle sitting near the nest tree. Then later an adult eagle fishing out in the middle of the bay - s/he took the catch to the opposite side of the bay. I'm not sure if they were the same eagle.
I also heard two eagles calling out from way over the west side of the bay while I could still see the first adult near the nest tree. I couldn't see the other two but definitely more evidence for a second nest on the west side of the bay.

Lots of activity on Nov 24. I adult was sitting in a tree in the middle of the marsh. I;m not sure if s/he was hunting or looking for branches for the nest. S/he then flew off to the trees at the far side of the marsh. After a few moments there s/he flew over to the far side of the bay before circling around to fly back over to the other side of the bay. I could see that there s/he was looking into the creek perhaps for fish or ducks.

Then I think someone at the far side threw out some fish trimmings as the eagle flew back ober there and brought something back and started to eat on the rock.....watched by some very interested neighbours.

On Dec 22 after some a few days of some big rainstorms 1 adult was drying off on the favourite tree. I yjink s/he must have flown off without me noticing as a few minutes later an adult flew over and headed back to the same spot

Fund Drive for Hard Drives
Good afternoon, everyone! I have just learned that we do not have the hard drives we need to record our cams as we approach little chick time - and we do not have the funds necessary to buy them.
These are the high resolution drives that are connected directly to the cams at the site, making it possible to record high quality videos of events at the nests - and we usually have them up and running before the eggs are laid. As you know, we already have eggs at three of our four nests, and they are likely any day now at the fourth nest - so time is of the essence.
Our tech person Ken is estimating that it will cost about $7000 to buy the high quality, high capacity drives needed for our 9 cams, and while we are keeping up with our regular monthly expenses, we don't have the extra money needed to buy and install the hard drives.
I know this is a hard time financially for many of us, with many businesses closed - but it may also be a time when some of us are staying home and watching the eagles after cancelling planned trips or dinners out - and I'd like to ask those who can to contribute towards these hard drives.

Thanks Sandra!
I next visited on Feb 8 and saw 1 adult perched on a favourite tree and then again in almost exactly the same spot on Feb 17!
Also on Feb 17, I saw Ma and Pa circling overhead. The view of the nest from the parking lot was a bit hazy but it still seemed intact and ready for a successful breeding season.

I visited again on Feb 20 and Ma and Pa were in residence with a few visiting juveniles. Pa was very busy flying around and calling out to let the juvies know to keep on flying through

I next visited on Mar 12 and saw Ma and Pa perched right next to the nest in the tree directly above the house in the second picture. This view was from the parking lot. Later in my visit they moved to a different tree with a different view over the bay

I visited on June 18 and again nothing visible in the nest
But I did get a close flyby from I think Pa followed by a crow and a tiny dot that looks like it just might be a hummingbird
