Thanks for adding the link to my post to the opening posts, Bev. :grhug:

From the dvr....

8:04 am
Dimple called a few times and I think Duffer replied. She got up and flew off the eggs. I looked around briefly but did not see anyone, so I brought the cam back to the nest. She got back at 8:14 am.

I heard calling nearby, and I think this is Duffer who came in to the babysitting branch.

Dimple started calling from the nest, and Duffer started calling.

I checked the nest, and Dimple had left. Duffer stopped calling a moment later.

Dimple was back on the nest at 8:37 am.

Duffer had left the babysitting branch a little before that, so I think he saw her flying back, though I didn't catch that.

I'm out of the cam and away from the computer for a while.

I also checked the dvr, and as far as I could tell, Dimple has turned the eggs but hasn't taken a break. She just did a nice shake at 12:31 pm, and is either preening or digging in the nest - not sure which, but she's keeping the eggs covered.

A bit of a stretch, and she's up and moving around a bit.

And now settled back in, facing the other direction for a while.

Looking at Dimple's feathers, I think the rain had stopped by 1 pm (maybe earlier). Dimple was up at 1:14, tending the eggs and changing position.

At 1:24 pm, she gave a quick call, then got up and flew off.

I looked around a bit but didn't see anyone. She returned to the nest at 1:42 pm and settled onto the eggs.
