Hi Bev, how do you report the forum down? Is there another way to do it since one can’t get on the forum to report. Maybe Judy’s email?
HI Mariaane I sent an e-mail to Judy , Ken and D Hathaway
Thanks; knew it was down but didn’t know how to report it. Headed to church myself.
Thanks, Marianne and Bev! It's always fine to email me when something's not working as anticipated, though sometimes (like now) I don't see the message for a while. Mail sent to judyb at hancockwildlife (the usual little punctuation mark) org gets forwarded to my personal email which I check most often, and it's fine to use my personal email if you have it.

Glad to see that everything is working again now.

Checking the dvr back to Bev's post - Dimple was up a few times to stretch and turn the eggs, and then she took a little break from 9:32 to 9:44 am.

It's now 10:21 am and there's some shade on the nest on this sunny day as Mom Dimple incubates her eggs. It's now day 42 for the first egg and day 39 for the second egg with no sign of hatching. As I mentioned a few days ago (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=578&p=579704#p579704), I expect Dimple to continue incubating the eggs, gradually taking longer and longer breaks and eventually beginning to work on the nest a bit to prepare for next season - which with luck may bring Duffer to the nest to help her. The eggs may collapse spontaneously, or be taken by crows or ravens or even other eagles, or they will get buried as Dimple and Duffer bring in new nesting material.

And while I was typing, Dimple took off again at 10:27 am.

It's now 10:34, Dimple is on break, and it's time for me to take a walk.

Good morning, everyone!

10:42 am
I'll check the dvr in a few minutes, but wanted to mention that I've zoomed in on the eggs, and the spots are nesting material. I've still seen no indication that the eggs will hatch, and do not expect that to happen.

I also found an eagle on the babysitting branch, though I don't know which one it is.

I just watched part of the video of Dad Duffer when we saw him with the injury to his neck - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxXxlKaTr5g - and I'm thinking this is Duffer keeping an eye on things while Dimple is on break.

Thoughts?

Duffer flew off at 11:23 am - he curved around a bit as if heading out over the water, and I lost sight of him somewhere behind the tall evergreen on the right.

I looked around a bit and didn't see anyone, so put the cam looking out in the general area where it looked as if Duffer may have gone.

At 11:26 I saw a flash of motion coming from the left along the bottom of the screen; the bit of white and orange in the red circle is as close as I could get to a s'cap.

Dimple arrived back on the nest a moment later - I'm noticing the lighter brown spots on the sides of her back where I think new wing feathers are coming in, and the bit of dark brown at the end of her tail - neither of which I noticed on the eagle on the babysitting branch, adding to my impression that was Duffer.
