Dimple has a nice stretch before turning the eggs and settling back down; the cam went to color right after this.
7:59 am
It looked as if Dimple saw something in the distance, and then she got up and flew off. I didn't hear any calling. She returned to the nest at 8:05 am - not enough time to eat, so probably just a quick stretch of her wings.
I'm noticing that she's changing position fairly frequently, which may because she's been spending more time incubating with the wet weather. I have not noticed her paying any extra attention to the eggs, which would be likely to happen if the first one was in the preliminary stages of hatching. I don't think they will hatch - and quite frankly I'm hoping that they don't hatch (reasons here - viewtopic.php?p=577544#p577544). If they do, the first stage is an internal pip, when the chick breaks into the air sac in the egg and begins to peep - and those quiet peeps usually cause the adults to look at the eggs more frequently. Today is day 36 for the first egg, so we are entering into the time when eggs generally hatch, so it's useful to see if Dimple's behavior changes. I was away for the past 24 hours so am catching here by reviewing the dvr - and so far I've seen no sign of a relevant change in behavior.
9:38 am
Dimple flew off again, again with no calls heard. She was back at 9:45 am, turned the eggs and settled in to incubate.
She flew off again at 10:08 am, and returned at 10:09 am.
It's now 10:33 am, and Dimple is incubating her eggs, and calmly looking around, and occasionally doing a bit of preening.

I just checked the dvr and Dimple has been up a couple of times to turn the eggs and dig in the nest. I didn't notice any other activity.
